A landslide last year wiped out a whole section of a mountainside trail. The resulting lack of trail traffic could suit my preference to #hikenaked, except a summer without hikers also allowed the encroachment of wild roses and eight-foot tall Devil's Club. Clothes served as protection.

Three of us from the former Anchorage #Naturist Meetup Group back in August 2012 hiked up the Falls Creek trail and did a #skinnydip in its concluding tarn. While much of the hike was naked, I was glad for the layers after the chilling plunge. #hikenaked #freehiking

FAIRBANKS, AK Granite Tors Trail At pavement's edge, we pierced the thick, loud mass of mosquitoes that required we keep covered our tasty flesh. Only after exiting the maddening cloud at the tree line were we free to feel the sun and breeze. Four hours of heaven before darting down through hell.
