The University of Dundee is proposing to close the English for International Students unit. Graduates like Kalani Ruchitra benefitted hugely from the programme and the support of the dedicated team. Listen to Kalani’s plea to save the English for International Students team. #SaveHE #SaveDundeeUni

One of the most frustrating things about this crisis is the continually poor communication with staff and students. Reading about what is likely to happen to you in the media creates such distrust in management.

The admission. “There’s been inadequate financial discipline and control.” “Poor investment decisions including in IT systems.” “Weak compliance in financial control and a lack of accountability.” “Inadequate oversight at executive and court levels of our financial position”. This is damning!

Amidst all the other chaos, the garden pond is so often a place of calm and renewal 😃 #frogspawn

The cuts to 632 posts announced by university executives hide behind the numbers. Every post is a person, a valued colleague. We share their stories, as part of our grassroots We are the 632 campaign #WeAreThe632 #SaveDundeeUni Up first is Anya who talks about how this will affect Dundee. 1/2

Alfie popped by to see us yesterday. They pointed out that we already have 237 colleagues who have already left the University of Dundee. We were told we need to lose 632 jobs top of this! 869 colleagues will be lost and this is just phase 1! #PicketLinePets #PicketPups #dogs #SaveHE

Bonnie visited us on the picket line and said we should resist “the ruffcovery plan” put forward by the people responsible for the crisis at the University of Dundee. The plan is presented as inevitable. It is not. Stand up and resist. #PicketLinePets #PicketPups #SaveHE #SaveDundeeUni

Week 2 of our industrial action to save jobs at the University of Dundee begins now. Come and join or visit our friendly picket line at the Tower Building, every day from 8am. Here’s what we have achieved in the first week.
