February 1st dawns bright and clear, Cailleach comes out to herd her deer More wood for her hearth she seeks To warm her home for six more weeks. I have 30 copies of this print available in my new shop on GoImagine! goimagine.com/drawingdownl...

A watercolor painting in hues of blue and grey. An old woman with long grey hair and blue skin stands facing the viewer with a stag by her side. She has a large halo like a snowflake around her head, with her hood drawn up, and she’s holding a twisted wooden staff. The stag has icicles in his antlers. The pair are surrounded by falling snowflakes.

Here is the rest of the poem that would not fit in the post:

February 1st dawns bright and clear,
Cailleach comes out to herd her deer
More wood for her hearth she seeks
To warm her home for six more weeks.

February 1st dawns stormy grey,
Cailleach sleeps the day away.
Her hearth glows warm with smoke curling,
She knows spring is coming early.

HUMAN ARTISTS, use only one piece to convince people to follow you. This is Bill. Won’t you follow sweet old Bill?

This image is a watercolor painting. A solid black ox looking over a stone wall at you with soulful brown eyes. He has a dark pink nose and upturned horns. Behind him is a lush grassy field, a split rail fence, and forest. In the background to the left, at the end of the fence is the corner of an old stone building.

It’s #blackcatappreciationday ! This is my vanishing phantom Salem. She’s very sweet, but very shy and she disappears into the ether anytime someone comes to visit. But, when she’s feeling brave, she asks her resident hoomins for belly rubs and brushing. 1/2

Two cats cuddling on a blanket. The “big spoon” on the right is a large black and white cat with green eyes, and the “little spoon” on the left is a solid black cat with gold eyes. Both cats are looking at the camera.

A black cat sitting on a windowsill staring outside at a doe. The doe is staring in the window over the cats head.

A black cat with gold eyes sitting at the top of a drafting table by the window, and peering at the camera from behind a telescoping light pole.

A black cat with gold eyes relaxing on a purple and blue patchwork quit with a black stars and moons pillow behind her.

HUMAN ARTISTS, use only one piece to convince people to follow you. This is my Mogget. I painted this memorial portrait for her after she passed away in 2021. Since then I’ve been painting both magical and memorial portraits for beloved familiars. Just one more service I offer. #witchsky #artsky

Watercolor painting. A fluffy orange tabby cat sits loaf-style in a red flower pot. She’s surrounded by potted plants and one lit candle. Above her hang a brass pentacle wind chime and a silver sun catcher. Trees, bushes, and rolling hills in the background.

This is Mogget, she was my baby and this is her memorial portrait.

Small #pieces of the night sky painted on a unicorn birch panel. This is Monoceros, the unicorn constellation! You can see it in February and March in my area, between Orion, Canis Major, and Canis Minor. The moon and constellation in this painting glow in the dark! 💖 #stars #blueskyartshow

A unicorn shaped painting hanging outside on a bright sunny day. The unicorn is painted black and dotted with stars. Connecting lines show constellations. There’s a full moon in place of the unicorn’s eye, and a comet streaking across the unicorn’s cheek. It had a glittery blue horn and a shimmery blue and purple mane pained in a graphic style. A large constellation on the unicorn’s neck is labeled “Monoceros” in silver letters. Above it is the small constellation Canis Minor, though it is not labeled.

If you were to shine a black light on this painting, the moon and the stars that make up Monoceros would glow. The artist used Fluorescent paint.

A white, brightly lit 10x10 pop up tent at night. The tent houses colorful displayed of artwork and prints. A big banner in the back of the tent says “Drawing Down Lore”

A table with a star-spangled black tablecloth and small paintings. Seven of the paintings are propped up on small easels. Four of them are unicorn portraits. From left to right there is a rainbow Pride unicorn, Swift Wind from She-Ra, Amalthea from the last unicorn, and the constellation Monoceros. In front of them, flat in the table is a large array of 28 2-inch square paintings and led tea-light candles.

A pair of paintings hanging in an outdoor display. The smaller painting on the left is a swirl of symbols: a pentacle, Druid sigil, and Norse Runes. The larger painting on the right depicts an underwater scene in which a kelpie horse with a visible red skeleton trots along the bottom of a lake with three fish companions.

This is a stained glass window I made back in 2010 of the Mari Llwyd. It’s made of nearly 300 #pieces of hand-cut glass. It’s about 4 ft high and 2 ft wide. It was part of a larger installation, but this is the only piece of the original work I have. I haven’t made glass in awhile. #blueskyartshow

A stained glass window featuring the Mari Llwyd with a black glass border. The Mari Llwyd is a horse skull, its jaws wide open in song. She has red glass for eyes. She’s bedecked in red and green glass ribbons and her cape is outlined in clear textured glass. The background is deep blue glass.

I picked up 15 unicorn-shaped birch panels. I’m having a lot of fun with these. This is the first one. Did you know there’s a unicorn constellation? It’s called Monoceros! Just for fun, I’m painting 2x2 inch miniatures, and they glow in the dark! I have 78 of these tiny canvases. These are #’s 1-3, Full Moon, Lightning Bug, and Cat’s Eye.

Tiny painting of a green cat’s eye. The painting is held between the artist’s thumb and forefinger. It is 2 inches square.

A glowing green cat’s iris in a pitch black background.

A glowing painted full moon on a pitch black background. The moon is cratered and slightly greenish. Below it are the words, “#1 Full Moon” in white letters.

A tiny 2 inch square painting held in the artist’s hand. The painting is of an orange, black, and white lightning bug or firefly in a starry sky. Above the hand and painting are the words “Glo-Tinies! #2 Lightning Bug” in orange letters.

New booth layout, I’m happy with this one.

A pop-up tent housing an artist’s traveling shop. On the front corners are a magazine rack full of brightly-colored prints, and an easel with a large painting of an underwater scene with a trotting kelpie and fish.

A heavily textured painting of a tree with a gold background hangs over a table with a black tablecloth. On the table, from left to right: a black display with fantasy creature stickers, a stack of business cards, a wooden crate full of small art prints, a silver vase full of multicolored roses, a metal rack with larger art prints, and a small book-shaped wooden display full of tasseled bookmarks.

A standing wooden print rack, full of black-matted art prints. The rack is surrounded by an unfolded purple room divider with more prints hanging from it. Above the room divider hangs a small painting of a pentacle, wreath, and floating Norse runes.

A watercolor painting: an orange tabby cat tucked in the cat loaf position in a big red flower pot. She’s surrounded by potted plants and a white lit candle. One of the pots is full of miniature red roses. There are two sun catchers hanging above her. One is a silver sun with a crystal in the middle, casting rainbows on the wall. The other is a bronze pentacle with red beads and bells hanging from it.

This is a memorial pet portrait of my cat Mogget. She was a tiny, dainty cat with a huge personality and sense of dignity. She loved sitting in the empty flower pot, because she was the prettiest flower.

I must apologize to all the other orange tabby cats & owners out there. When she passed away she took the rest of the brain cells with her.

If you see this, post a horse! (Work in progress!)

A painting sitting on a wooden easel. The painting depicts a murky green underwater scene, with underwater plants, a sunken log, and a kelpie trotting across the lake bed. The kelpie’s flesh is see-through in places and it has a red skeleton. It has a green mane, tail, and “feather” hair around its hooves, all floating gently behind it. The painting is unfinished.

Thank you for the art share! I’m Kerry Mairie, I’m an artist from the Pagan community. I work traditionally in mixed media, usually watercolor and colored pencil. My main focus is on mythology, folklore, and magical arts. #artshare

A circle of purple standing stones in a green field at night. The center stone has a glowing labyrinth carved into it. Fairy orbs float up in an arc from the base, up to the muzzle of a curious shire horse. The horse is dark brown with a blue-black mane and tail. Up in the night sky, the full moon is centered and illuminates the scene. It is flanked by curling clouds on the left and the Milky Way galaxy stars on the right.

A round painting in watercolor, colored pencil, and ink. A pentacle with symbols of Imbolc in and around its circle. Snowdrop flowers at its center. From the top point, going clockwise: Aquarius constellation, the lid to the Chalice Well, a whirlpool of water, Saint Brighid’s cross in brown and red, and snowflakes.

Watercolor and colored pencil painting. A glowing white Cob horse standing over a pool of water. There’s a tiny lobster on the beach next to it. There’s reflection it leaves on the water is of a green horselike monster with a skull-like face, sharp teeth, and ropey kelp like mane and tail. The full moon behind the white horse is centered and huge, and reflected in the water behind the green monster. Stars whirl around the moon in the sky. On the ground behind the white horse are two standing stones and a grassy field.

Meme, top text says, “how I feel when someone asks me what Witchvox was.” Bottom is a painting of an elderly witch floating cross-legged off the floor. Her white hair, grey shawl, and loose dark blue dress float around her. She’s working at a floating computer from the 90’s, a beige box screen and keyboard with a floppy disk drive and a wired mouse. On the floor, a black cat leaps up to bat the floating mouse. There’s a glowing circle drawn on the floor with astrological symbols around the perimeter. The rest of the room looks like a rustic home: grey stone walls, iron candle stands, candles, and shelves of books and boxes.
