thats the gist of it u can achieve these results all inside blender which is prolly easier and faster too theres plenty of tuts on YT that can explain that compositing workflow I overcomplicate mine cause im used to it from experience, if u wanna know more then I can explain more

a lot of it is intuition and knowing how to use effects and isolation masks to make the image prettier I use another software to comp so I export exr to get cycles passes (gloss, crypto, depth, ao) and cc the art direction I want then find cool effects online to layer on top (aberration, flare, etc)
