This is a table I made of potential social connections using AI. It is refusing to give me the alt text for it so I apologize.

If you search for the name Simel in the Epstein files, you will get at least two hits for files. Both are practically impossible to read unless you run it through AI or have some better tool than I do. One is from a written database of the little black book. There are four hits for the name Simel, and one hit for the name Zoe in the visitor log.

Some military lawyers worry the firings will taint whoever takes the job next. “Anyone nominated to replace them will be viewed by many, both inside and outside the ranks, as simply a compliant politico,” wrote Charlie Dunlap, a retired Air Force major general who served as the service’s deputy JAG before his retirement in 2010.

Others question whether the firings are even legal since Defense Department employees are not allowed to interfere with a judge advocate general’s ability to give legal advice.

Why isn’t Harvard saying that almost 31% of their students are from FOREIGN LANDS, and yet those countries, some not at all friendly to the United States, pay NOTHING toward their student’s education, nor do they ever intend to. Nobody told us that! We want to know who those foreign students are, a reasonable request since we give Harvard BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but Harvard isn’t exactly forthcoming. We want those names and countries. Harvard has $52,000,000, use it, and stop asking for the Federal Government to continue GRANTING money to you!

This strategy shall include actions to achieve comprehensive, scalable, and verifiable nucleic acid synthesis screening in non-federally funded settings. Any gaps in authorities necessary to achieve the goals of this strategy shall be addressed in a legislative proposal to be sent to the President, through the Director of OSTP and the APNSA, within 180 days of the date of this order.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Section 1. Purpose. The United States is drastically overregulated. The Code of Federal Regulations contains over 48,000 sections, stretching over 175,000 pages — far more than any citizen can possibly read, let alone fully understand. Worse, many carry potential criminal penalties for violations. The situation has become so dire that no one -– likely including those charged with enforcing our criminal laws at the Department of Justice — knows how many separate criminal offenses are contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, with at least one source estimating hundreds of thousands of such crimes. Many of these regulatory crimes are “strict liability” offenses, meaning that citizens need not have a guilty mental state to be convicted of a crime.

The purpose of this order is to ease the regulatory burden on everyday Americans and ensure no American is transformed into a criminal for violating a regulation they have no reason to know exists.

Sec. 2. Policy. It is the policy of the United States that:

(a) Criminal enforcement of criminal regulatory offenses is disfavored.

(b) Prosecution of criminal regulatory offenses is most appropriate for persons who know or can be presumed to know what is prohibited or required by the regulation and willingly choose not to comply, thereby causing or risking substantial public harm. Prosecutions of criminal regulatory offenses should focus on matters where a putative defendant is alleged to have known his conduct was unlawful.

(d) Agencies promulgating regulations potentially subject to criminal enforcement should explicitly describe the conduct subject to criminal enforcement, the authorizing statutes, and the mens rea standard applicable to those offenses.

Sec. 3. Definitions. For purposes of this order:

(a) “Agency” has the meaning given to “Executive agency” in section 105 of title 5, United States Code;

(b) “Criminal regulatory offense” means a Federal regulation that is enforceable by a criminal penalty; and

(c) “Mens rea” means the state of mind that by law must be proven to convict a particular defendant of a particular crime.

(b) The regulatory text of all NPRMs and final rules with criminal consequences published in the Federal Register after the date of this order should explicitly state a mens rea requirement for each element of a criminal regulatory offense, accompanied by citations to the relevant provisions of the authorizing statute.

Section 1. Purpose. Deregulation is a critical priority for my Administration. We will foster prosperity by freeing Americans from the heavy burden of Federal regulations accumulated over decades. Although the decision about which regulations to eliminate is sometimes complex, the administrative process of removing a regulation from the Code of Federal Regulations through a rulemaking should be simple. It is not.

The Office of the Federal Register frequently takes days or, in some cases, even weeks to publish new regulatory actions. Such delay is unwarranted. The Office of the Federal Register receives final documents that are fully executed by the relevant decisionmakers — all that remains is publication. Yet despite those delays, executive departments and agencies are charged $151-$174 per column of text to publish each rule in the Federal Register. These inefficiencies inhibit my Administration’s deregulatory agenda and waste taxpayer money.

The United Kingdom said in a press release that the trade deal with the United States will help a steel industry “on the brink of collapse.”

The U.S. imposed 25% tariffs on foreign steel. The UK won’t face those tariffs now, according to the release.

Of especial relevance herein, the PI Opinion focuses on evidence that SSA leadership abruptly accorded DOGE and its affiliates unfettered access to SSA systems of record containing personally identifiable information.2 This included access to “family court records and school records” of children, as SSA “pays more benefits to children than any other federal program.” See PI Opinion 5 (internal quotation marks omitted). It also included access “to extensive medical and mental health records” of SSA disability benefits recipients, such as “medical and mental health treatment records, prescription medications, hospitalization records, records of medical tests performed by the listed providers (with the enumerated list including HIV, AIDS, and psychological/IQ tests), and addiction treatment records.” Id.

In further outlining the operations of SSA and the personally identifiable information that it therefore maintains and allowed DOGE to access, the PI Opinion explains that “SSA pays over $1.5 trillion to seventy million people — more than one in five Americans — each year”; that “SSA also helps administer federal programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, eVerify, and the Help America Vote Act”; that “more than 450 million” Social Security Numbers (“SSNs”) have been issued to date; that just to obtain an SSN, an applicant must “provide their name (including prior names or other names used), place and date of birth, citizenship, ethnicity, race, sex, phone number, and mailing address, as well as their parents’ names and SSNs”; and that SSA “collects a wide range of other personal information,” including “driver’s license and identification card information,” “bank and credit card information,” “birth and marriage certificates,” “pension information,” “employment and employer records,” and “tax and earnings information.”
