Little Miss Delia was expensive today. Took her in for booster shots and a wellness exam. Got the 3 year vaccines because cheaper in the long run. Also, she has them all so fooled. "She's a sweet cat" is on her record now. She screamed at me all the way there and all the way home. LMAO!

Long-haired tortie cat on a worn area rug, gazing up at her horrible mom who took her to the vet. Her yellow eyes are only lightly loopy after getting her vaccinations, her ears stand tall and perky.

Bella: as feral as feral can be.

A short-haired black mackerel tabby inelegantly half-curled on her side on a cushioned pink and white pet bed, sound asleep with her white chin turned up to the sky. Her back legs are stretched across the side of the bed, her front legs loosely folded close to her chest, and her belly a hint of cinnamon colored chonk.

A short-haired black mackerel tabby snoozing hard mostly on her side on a faded multi-colored rug, cinnamon colored round belly exposed and only a trap to those she doesn't know. The pure black undersides of her feet a vivsible.

"You talk most like someone from Oregon — about 52% of your answers match a typical resident." LOL! Yeah, Oregon born and bred, that's me (despite my current place on the other side of the country). Lots of questions leaned me toward Minnesota, though. Definite influence of my stepmom's mom. 😂

We said goodbye to Lucy this morning. She had one last week of chicken nuggets and doggie cookies, happily going out 1.5 lbs heavier than her weight at her vet appt 2 weeks ago. It's going to be weird not having a bulldog of some sort underfoot after 15 years. She's back with Biscuit now, though.

Lucy, an 11 year old Olde English Bulldogge, mostly white with dark brindle patches. She's sitting on a geometric patterned rug in front of an oak nightstand and stack of books/games.

Lucy and Biscuit sitting in front of a screen door, light by the coming in from outside. Lucy is on the left, an Olde English Bulldogge puppy, mostly white with patches of brindle. Biscuit, a Johnson line American Bulldog, sits on the right, a head taller than Lucy, also white but with tuxedo pattern brindle. He was about 2 years old here. Photo taken in 2016.

My niece took an excellent pic of Bella out on the deck.

A short haired brown tabby cat, one ear tipped to show her status as a TNR (trapped, neutered/spayed, and released) stray. Her whiskers are white and her eyes are green. Behind her, the wet and weathered planks of the deck can be seen.

We've got a bloom way down low on our magnolia tree. Easily in reach of a photo. Not a sunny pic, however, as we're between rainstorms and the clouds have no intention of breaking just yet.

A large white magnolia flower, easily the size of a spread adult hand, centered in a circle of shiny green leaves over a ground of rust red fallen leaves and ruddy brown dirt. Drops of water cling and pool from a storm earlier this morning.

I do! Actually posted it shortly after getting them up, but I can add a close-up of my eye screw/carabiner catch here with it.

Two wooden raised beds filled with tomato and pepper plants. In front are teo smaller wooden boxes with strawberry plants. Wooden frames on the large boxes support mesh shades to protect against too much sun and heat.

Steel eye screws screwed into pale pine boards and a small steel carabiner demonstrate a simple catching system for garden sun shades.

Sun shades up! I will sleep so very very good tonight. 💚 (Also, I have so many cherry tomatoes on the vine, already. They range from pea sized to actual small cherry size. Nom!)

Two wooden raised garden beds with smaller wooden boxes in front of them. Thwy are filled with caged tomatoes and peppers, plus some marigolds. The smaller boxes are filled with recently transplanted strawberries. Above the raised beds are a set of newly erected sun shades, black mesh draped over tall wooden frames to protect from days of too hot sun. Behind them is a white fence, shrubs, and trees.

My tomatoes (1st pic) and peppers (2nd pic) are in. And all the marigolds. Have a spot in the little box for something else, but I'll worry about that later. It took two hours filling in the soil and planting. I'm feeling every second. Also, my sprinklers worked without having to clean the hoses! ✌️
