Look for well-established hospices that haven’t had a recent change in ownership. Avoid new hospices or ones that have been added to an established home health care agency. Seeing a ton of home health that are adding hospice services. That is there built in base for hospice services

Agreed, BUT, we have a nearly 100 lb, high anxiety lab/Great Pyrenees mix. Our vet is still privately owned, and medications for high anxiety events, like the 4th, we have to use medications: 200 trazodone and 100 gabapentin. The fn neighbors need to stop the fireworks!

What’s nuts about Real ID not counting is to get Real ID, you have to provide original or certified copy of birth certificate or a passport. I had my birth certificate, marriage license, passport, nursing license and 2 documents proving residency. Why doesn’t Real ID count?

Most residential AC units are only designed to cool 20-22 degrees below outside temperature. Learned this from HVAC guy when we had to replace our unit. We live in SE AZ, so 105-110 isn’t unheard of. We keep ours at 78. Anything lower than that when 100+ only makes unit work harder and costs more

Had a lab/springer mix that ate a whole family pack of Ivory soap. When I found him after the deed, he was slightly foaming at the mouth, when the diarrhea started, it smelled clean and fresh. It was like a colonoscopy bowel prep for a dog. The vet nearly gave himself a hernia trying not to laugh

Hospital RN case manager here. MA plans are a nightmare but use the right words! SNF and IPR are not long term care. These are short term with skilled needs like physical therapy or wound care, 1-2 weeks usually. Medicare and MA plans don’t cover long term or custodial care.

What are your goals? If it’s working in higher ed, not worth it. Most colleges want PhD or DNP now and the politics in higher ed are atrocious. If you want to stay in hospitals, I’d say go for it. I have MSN Ed and work in hospital case management now and plenty of chance to teach
