Wow, ok, applied lipstick and, like, it all just clicked. It downloaded all of the cosmetic knowledge into my little bunny brain, like The Matrix. Need more. Oh... ick, I think I can feel what makes this lipstick cheap now. It's pretty, but it just makes them feel chapped. Don't like that.

Hmm, buying makeup is hard. Like, I don't want to go for a super expensive first set since I have no idea what I'm doing, but there's always a concern that too cheap will just look gaudy no matter what. Starting with simple lipstick for now, see how I feel about going deeper down that rabbit hole.

One of my biggest artistic regrets today is that way back when I first started drawing I didn't push myself to learn to paint properly, assuming I'd never do anything but digital so why bother. 25 years later it's frustrating as fuck to effectively be starting over.

There we go, mounted some blank canvases, including the bigass 3' x 4', in my bedroom so that the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing at night are reminders that I have painting to do. Also, one of thesmaller canvases had a hole in it hidden under the label. Practice canvas fodder.

Something I've always found a bit unfair about painting skyscapes is that I've seen numerous sunrises and sunsets that were absolutely gorgeous, but I knew if I'd tried painting them people would just think I was really bad at painting.

Yay! Got my Blitz x Stolas fire escape figure thing, and watched Stolas immediately take a swan dive (owl dive?) because I didn't realize they aren't holding each other's hands that tight. He's ok, though! Didn't even mess up the hair that he quite firmly landed on.

Huge storm took out the power for a couple hours today. It was nice, in that unique way that only blackouts can be. My home became a VRC world, silent but for the rain, and illuminated by numerous small LED candles. As the rain let up, fireworks began ringing out while lightning continued to flash-
