Working on a couple new startling crude photocopy sticker designs and lo and behold this beautiful ad for a 1988 Whitesnake concert at the Memorial Coliseum features some of the best sleep paralysis faces I've seen in a while.

That's correct! Also I understand high quality tape stock isn't being manufactured anymore so the "high quality" tapes of the past can't even be made anymore - almost all modern tapes are "normal bias", which can add more "hiss" / flutter to the listening experience.

That said, I'm still and forever confused about cassette tape resurgence. I like tape sound (nothing like that distortion!)... But for it to come back now, is it false nostalgia? Do people really like oxide tape running across a magnetic head, degrading the signal each time? Old becomes new cycle?

An interesting thing about the monk parakeets in Barcelona is that the city monitors their movements, but the birds kept removing any rings on put on their legs with their strong beaks, so now lots of them wear these huge tags on collars around their necks like dogs. 🪶
