The individual, identified as Nigel Farage, had claimed Essex police had told him to keep away from his by-election declaration.

I have read it. The conclusion was not that the plans weren't costed but that, in their opinion, the costings (and the IFS liked some of the proposals) weren't sufficiently thorough e.g. impact on debt.

The IFS' opinion was of the party's costings, not that there weren't any. I am not engaging with either party but am simply suggesting that, as far as the IFS is concerned, more detail is needed. That has to be a consideration for an undecided voter like me.

No problem with him having fun at a rave, but he's a politician, and he knows that everything he says is going out there, and this sounds a bit 6th form. And the IFS aren't impressed with the lack of detail re spending. I like much of what he's said, but I want to hear more than platitudes.
