I had a livejournal once, I used it like a secret diary. It was public but obviously nobody ever read it, it was just comforting thinking someone might. Nothing has changed, after all. My melocactus greeted me with the tiniest of flowers. Melocacti are not the easiest, they dislike being dry and most of all hate the cold. They grow this fuzzy "cephalium" on top, which hosts their little flowers and fruits and looks like a birthday cake.

This is my little bog experiment. It simulates a wetland where carnivorous plants thrive. I find it looks amazing, the downside is that it really consumes a lot of water.

This is a sarracenia leucophylla. They make white or pink streaked traps and look their best in autumn. I almost got rid of it last year, since it produced no decent traps all 2025. I'm glad I didn't!

My sarracenias are starting to look good. Letting them flower takes away some of the energy they could use for traps, but it makes for a beautiful, albeit short lived display.

I'll keep it brief, since most people with eyes are seeing what's going on.

A group of wealthy old farts with too much power, and especially time, on their hands, are slowly moving towards attempting to kill art, expression, freedom, anything that, annoyingly, doesn't let them feel like they're in a comfortable world they can control.

Please, do not give up. Keep fighting. Keep doing what you love. I'll keep working on the freakiest shit I can possibly provide until my hands fall off. There's no real way they can stop me, if I'm reduced to ask for pittance on the side of the road, I'll still push forward with my art.

There's a place for us, no matter what happens. When we make it through this insane fascist period, we're gonna backtrack most if not all of these changes.

Please keep in mind, they will all soon die because they’re old af anyway.

These are drosophyllum lusitanicum, rare carnivorous plants from the mediterranean. They produce angry droplets of glue and catch really large insects. I hope to see some flowers this year.
