Well, I do have one gripe with Hell is Us: The enemy variety. The game tries to shake things up with these "hazes" which are tethered to these creatures, but it makes combat rather... repetitive. 🫤 Thankfully, both the story and mystery-solving exploration are still absolutely stellar.

Okay, I'm gonna gush a bit. Hell is Us is really sinking its teeth into me. It's such a refreshing shift to play an adventure that isn't deliberately holding your hand with waypoints and map shuffling. The atmosphere is so eerie and bleak, I can't help but get hopelessly drawn further in.

Okay, Hell is Us is oddly fascinating with its "no maps, no waypoints" approach. I thought it was gonna be some massive open world with a "Good luck! Don't get lost and die!" vibe, but it feels much more linear and puzzle-focused instead. You have to pay attention. I kinda like this.
