I feel like my verse on this song is an admission of my depression. That’s probably why it feels so out of place. When you feel like a crooked monster, you tend to go to some dark places in your head. I haven’t reached full darkness, but I have a taste of what’s there.

I’ve never had to do this before…but I knew after two weeks of slowly dissolving pain that I would have to remove this injured toenail in order for me to feel like I could function without fear. I still wince as if it’s on there still, but I removed it. And now true healing can begin.

What I’m appreciating the most about playing Breath of Fire III is that young Ryu went from attacking out of fear, to attaching because he must do so when faced with battles. I love the subtle change in animation after he realizes he must journey on his own.
