Learning space curation is a vital skill so you don't surround yourself with people who constantly piss you off or annoy you, and bsky's biggest selling point is its tools to make things you don't wanna see disappear. people don't use it enough simple as

That's why I do subscribe to the mentality of "fandom can just be you and 2 or 3 little freaks" but I am a social creature and while I am secure and loved by close friends I still desire interaction from others who are into things that I like, so 2 or 3 freaks ain't always cuttin' it

I think social media is just not nuanced enough for people to go into what they mean because those are posts that are from a perspective of people who got burned too many times. you can't avoid a bad experience, and if you don't learn from what caused it you'll keep running into them

Fai | FFXIV 🌱 @ Early Endwalker ! NO SPOILERS @dragonfaiyah.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Hot take but i think sometimes the "dont bother interacting with fandom at all just appreciate the media on your own" thing is dumb bc idk how to tell you this harold but some people Want And Deserve Community. To ask people to just not engage with each other is kind of just mean.

I dont know how to tell you this but traumadumping and overexplaining in public spaces by replying with your tragic or heavy life circumstances for every damn response to small things as if that will magically absolve you of your issues being rude to people...will not fly with people

Ive been on abt this the whole night sorry for the yap lol but overall Go and ship as much as you like and make or enjoy as much content as you like of it! Go crazy. But also put in some genuine effort when u interact with other people over it guess idk. Or at least put in thoughts, in general lol

Having had to deal with weird "shipper-only-lens" in other fandoms it also gets Toxic Pretty Fast sometimes bc they cant seem to appreciate anything outside a ship or adult content and you cant have a decent convo with them without sex or romance being brought up wvery 3 seconds.

In general i kind of just get turned off when all there is to a character is their ship or libido. Like dude i love shipping a much as the next guy it is GREAT and fun and do what u want but if theres no actual substance to the character it just becomes so meh.

Fai | FFXIV 🌱 @ Early Endwalker ! NO SPOILERS @dragonfaiyah.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Idk as much as meki does have hugh libido and will make horny jokes and some advances...Im just not interested in everything being all sexual bro... There is just so much more to explore into a character beyond that i kind of just get disappointed if its all I see. In any case Meki Holds Multitudes

If you immediately assume and choose to believe the worst about every single person you talk to, INCLUDING people who have proven to be friends, you're signing yourself up for failure. No one can blame you for your reflexive thoughts but it's what you do with them that matters.

Maybe It Will Happen Today @today-maybe.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

A digital illustration of a version of the big board from Wheel of Fortune. An array of green rectangles (each bearing an icon of a hand with crossed fingers inside a circle with rays), and white rectangles that indicate the letters in the secret phrase contestants are trying to guess. The board is not yet solved and reads like this:

M_YB_ I_
_ILL H_PP_N
__D_Y

Standing next to the board in a shiny pink and maroon evening gown and ready to turn around newly-guessed letters is a woman whose head is a human hand with crossed fingers.

Below the board in the space where viewers at home are informed what type of phrase is in play it simply reads ‘PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE’
