Indeed. We have seen that so many times. For example, Communism would work - but only in a small community where everyone is a committed Communist - and even then you'll run into problems with the next generation.

Yep, it just won't work. Idealists tend to run into big problems when they try to run any larger place according to their ideology. The main reason is that not everyone is a committed idealist and won't behave according to their expectations.

Yeah, privatisation is almost never ever the answer. Libertarians did try to run a town on their principles. The results were unimpressive, to say the least.
