Retired to TN just under 3 years ago. Lived in Chicago area my whole life. Never lost a package, never had a package delivered more than a day late without notification from seller. In the last 2 years, 2 packages lost, half a dozen delivered 2-5 days later. Btw, all PO.

Lots of questions here. Why did it sit in Memphis for almost 4 days? Why didn’t my local PO actually deliver it on the 17th? Why was it delivered 2 days later? Granted, I live in a small area, but we’re not the only family here & the area has been built up for almost 20 yrs. 2/

The Post Office lied here in TN. Ordered coffee 2/8. Got confirmation, arrival date 2/14. Tracked it. Got to Memphis 2/12. Left Memphis 2/16. Arrived Nashville 2/17, left 2/17. Arrived in town early 2/17. Notice of delivery 2/17. Nope tracking app said it was there, PO delivered 2/19.

Not surprised. After all, women & girls are nothing but sluts who seduced these innocent boys. IMO, we should NEVER have a “man” in charge of anything unless they can prove they’re responsible, level headed, emotionally/mentally stable, & can be vouched for by a min of 4 women, no relatives.

Looks like the bruise I would get up near my lower knuckles. Same color as that, but size & shape a B-1 crochet hook, so ~2.5 mm. Would happen because I slept weird. Normal ones cropped up just brushing against things. Turns out 81mg/day was too much. Do 1-625 mg every 10 days now. No problems since

Judge Lawrence Wargrave in And Then There Were None, 2015, 2 part version (3 parts if you saw the BBC broadcast version) broadcast. Tbh, probably the best Judge of all the versions I’ve seen. Definately all of the above. Lots of things/people wrong with this version, but the judge was spot on.

I feel you. Two separate occasions, BP literally through the roof. Both doctors, “How bad is your headache?” “What headache? I’m fine.” Neither ever believed me. Last year woke up twice with a severe headache. Not due to high BP, but low, 94/58.

He wouldn’t return the FIFA trophy from that game a few months ago. Infantino loaned it to him so it could sit in the Oval Office until game day, then he wouldn’t return it. It’s also claimed that he pocketed one of the medals for the winning team when he saw them day of. Video sure looks like it.

Should have known back in April 2016 that the world was wrong. Cubs had the best season ever. They won their first World Series in 108 yrs. Die hard Cubs fan here, love they won, but I would give all that up if it meant that none of this would have happened.

Looks like these boys have never had to deal with ice. Sidewalk looked slick to start with. When not sure, walk in the snow or check the sidewalk carefully. Never go full speed in winter. Spent 60+ yrs doing that. Slipped once, rain on top of ice.

ADHD? Don’t know. Organized messy? Definitely. Drives hubby crazy (married almost 45 yrs), but he keeps insisting on putting things away that he has no business touching. Worst part? He’ll put something away in the wrong place & when I ask where it is, he doesn’t remember because it’s not important.

Thank you for the great stories. I can picture the people you’re describing & hear their voices. Yes, I watch way too many Australian & New Zealand shows/movies, so I can almost hear the voices with the right accent. I want to visit, but I doubt Americans are welcome in most sane parts of the world.

Almost 34 yrs ago, we had to find a day care for our son. Newborn, born early, so unprepared. Daycare A, front doors wide open, no adult in front, tots sleeping near door. Daycare B, unlocked front door into locked door reception area & manager in office by door. Went with Daycare B.

Is it a me or Bluesky problem? For the past week or so, when I click on some videos to watch in full, I CANNOT CLOSE IT & GO BACK TO THE STREAM! I can close the app, pull the save screen down, but end up spending 5+ min trying to close it. Suspect it may be a phone problem (iPhone, just up-graded).

Actually does help. Honey is antibacterial. Not sure purpose of lemon, but I like the lemon & honey combo in a good herbal tea. A black tea will do in a pinch. (Do like green tea, but prefer that one unsweetened)

Same complaints in the areas around Chicago with not so big name universities. Son went to UIC, shared a flat with 4 other people. Think the rent boiled down to $250-300/month/kid. Biggest problem is landlords creating 5 “bedrooms” in what was a 2-3 bedroom flat.

Not surprised. His people were stealing PPE purchased from the states when COVID started. Did it by either getting to the shipment first, calling the manufacturers & changing delivery address. Can’t prove this one, heard they canceled several state shipments. Wasn’t stopped then, won’t stop now.

I was partial to Arial when I was working & had to send out e-mails. I like a nice, clean, easy to read font. Times New Roman is good if you’re writing a book/story & you want to make people think you hate tech to the point where you prefer a nice easy manual typewriter.

My mom is a “climate denier”. According to her, if you live long enough, you’ll see there’s a pattern & not climate change. I see the same things she does. But, in summer, it’s getting a little warmer every year. Heat waves are hotter & lasting longer than in my youth. Same with cold snaps. Colder.

Members of my family insist DST was enacted for farmers & not, as I point out, to get people to the department stores before dark & stay longer. Keep insisting why would a farmer care about what time he got up/went to bed. The animals need to be tended to & they don’t care about time.

Worked in the chemical industry for 25 yrs. At least one safety meeting each year touched on chemical burns. Also, whenever we got a new employee for the lab or plant, they would have a brief overview, then their first plant safety meeting concerned chemical burns. Had only one idiot work there.

When my kids were born, I tried. Never produced enough milk for a full meal, much less how much a baby needs. Was told to pump & feed the little milk I could produce but use formula. They got about 2oz/day for a week, before my body said, nope, you’ll get only a few drops every time.

Tombstone is pretty decent. Digorno’s is a good option. If I want a taste of home, I end up going with Home Run Inn. Let’s just say without frozen pizza here in Eastern TN, I wouldn’t have a good option for pizza. As it is, fresh pizza is either seriously burnt or undercooked. And that’s thin crust

I’ll be honest. I hate the DD/MM/YYYY & MM/DD/YYYY, at least until the 13th of any month. Then it’s easier to determine format. Only other thing I check on food/beverage packaging is country of origin. Then I know which format to use. When in doubt, ask.

Started going to a slaughterhouse, a farm store, & a local farm for meat. Slaughterhouse for pork products. Farm store has beef shanks. The local farm has beef bones & chicken. Local country store for lunch meat & other products. Local dairy for dairy & eggs. All carry beef products.

Went to an all girl’s Catholic high school. German club, on Dec 6th, had St. Nick & Krampus going from room to room with treats or coal for the teacher. In my opinion, I, in my role as Krampus, did not hand out enough coal.
