Update: I've finished an antique silver Tryzub pendant (request from Sue). I've ordered a super powerful vacuum pump from eBay and I've now got some silver solder paste that contains silver, you just put it on and melt it to join silver.

I've been sent some little silver spoons from @kezza.bsky.social I'm going to have a go at turning these into rings. What is your ring size? I want to join the ends before I do any shaping. The first one is yours, and can be used as an example to sell the others. 🫶

I managed to cast 11 silver pieces at the weekend. It doesn't look like much but this should raise +$1200 USD. The slow cool didn't stop the surface coating of phosphates developing but boiling the pieces in lemon juice makes it easy to scrub off. I seem to only have one issue now, there are 1/2

What are your thoughts on this fellas? It's an idea for a fundraising piece for @juliasubbotina.bsky.social Should I make it more simple? The beauty of the florks is in their simplicity. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've just prepared a mould with 11 pieces. 5 x seals, 5 x Tryzubs and a shark to thank @tootswoot.bsky.social for an amazing donation. I need 340g of silver for this pour. That would cost a LOT of money! Thanks to those that have donated, I love you for trusting me. 💙💛

@tootswoot.bsky.social I wanted to keep you updated. I managed to swap the bracelet for all this silver which I can do a great deal more good with. There's enough here to make about $1,200 USD in pendants. 🥰

Here is the full donation from @tootswoot.bsky.social The bracelet in the top left is going to be exchanged for its value in silver. The other items are worth less second hand than they would be if I melted them down. I will probably try and sell the charms and buy some silver with the money. ❤️

Tonight we light candles in our windows to remember the Holodomor victims. One of our volunteers had her grandfather starved to death in a Soviet prison for picking a pocketful of grain from the earth after harvest. The trench candle symbolises remembrance and dedication to fight for justice.

All my silver seals have found their forever homes. This pair are now having their eyes and the flames on the trench candles painted in glass paints. These parts are so small, I paint them with a piece of wire!
