Every part of the @Efteling park has a storybook feel, but in infrared, it becomes something else entirely. The already magical feeling of wandering the different stories only intensifies when seen in Infrared. #infraredphotography #creativephotography #ir650 #moodysky #kaatsheuvel #efteling

Sometimes the water here just decides to have an entirely different day. Infrared turns the familiar Amersfoort canals into something that feels less like a city moat and more like a liquid from a sci-fi movie prop department. #infraredphotography #IRChrome #amersfoort #dutchcanals

Like a level in a game where you just keep going deeper. All these layers, and the light just slowly drains out until it’s all warm glow in the depths. Wonder what boss fight is waiting at the very bottom, or if it's just more stairs. #architecture #depth #lightandshadow #geometry #industrialdesign

Studio guy, mostly. This dahlia was shot outside. Somewhere in the edit it turned into a studio portrait anyway. #infraredphotography #borisfxoptics #floralabstract #texturestudy #redonteal #dutchphotographer #IRCHROME #Dahlia

The old buildings stand there, quietly judging the plants for their sudden, fiery enthusiasm. Infrared always finds a way to crank the dial on the familiar, Good to see Amersfoort's flora has a flair for the dramatic. #infraredphotography #IR650 #dutcharchitecture #plantlife #amersfoort

Found a piece of Amersfoort that still hasn't decided if it's gothic or just grumpy. Been meaning to shoot this angle for a while, just waiting for the right kind of sky. #architecture #blackandwhite #church #amersfoort #monochrome #urbantexture

Our city has lots of green and combined with the old architecture it already looks amazing in normal light, but it shines even more in infrared. Like this cute little house, all adorned with lush plants. #infraredphotography #IR650 #creativephotography #borisfxoptics #dutcharchitecture #plantlife

Stepped out for a walk along the canal and realised the world had quietly shifted its colour balance. #infraredphotography #dutchcanals #amersfoort #colourshift #borisfxoptics #creativephotography #IR650

Found a canal that decided its usual colours were boring. Or maybe the infrared filter just forced it to show its true, slightly unhinged self. #infraredphotography #creativephotography #amersfoort #infrared #infraredphotography #IR650

Level Up 🎮 Today I turn 50. That’s a proper level up. Switching careers at this age was a leap of faith, and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve made. It still surprises me how much I’ve grown, learned and made since then. Here’s to the next level. No idea what it looks like yet. That’s fine.

Still digging into the hidden potential of these tulips. With the RGB lights, it's less about capturing what's there and more about creating what could be. This one really leaned into the bioluminescent vibe, like a creature from a forgotten alien ocean floor.

Visited the Wintertuin in Baarn today which is part of the @Kunstpalet033 route and it looked amazing, just before heading out I decided to take my infrared camera and my #850nm filter to capture the stark contrasts as it was sunny and cloudy, which always results in dramatic skies.

Dracorubio @dracorubio.studio · 09/04/2026

These tulips keep surprising me with their hidden palettes. I was experimenting with the @smallrig RGB lights again, trying to coax out those unreal hues. This one is printed on a metallic print behind acrylic at 40x60 and looks absolutely stunning in real life.

Irridesica Super excited to find these new colors and hue's while shooting these tulips. Things happen right in front of my lens and I just catch it with my camera. I made this into a print and will present it this week at @Kunstpalet033. And I tell you this print looks amazing

Folds and whispers from a dark stage. This parrot tulip, all ruffles and delicate edges, felt more like a study in light than a botanical portrait. Really wanted to push the contrast and see how much detail I could pull out of the shadows, to give it that almost sculptural feel.

🎃 Happy Halloween! A while ago I created this mask on a plaster cast of my visage using red worbla, some paint and plastic wrap. Then glued it to my face and had a blast being an idiot in front of my camera :) Last night I finally sat down to edit it in Photoshop :) hope you like it :) #photoshop
