No idea who else thought of this, but I want to offer a REPO theory/head canon I had: What if these crates you find to get for cosmetics in game are like...some kind of "processor" or something? That's pretty much it - What if it's some kind of fancy computer tech stuff you rarely find for taxman?

Decided to give a test on updating a copy of this world using MCEditor: Good news - It worked! The test worked, updated the copy to Alpha 1.0.4. Bad news - I need to figure out how to deal with these chunk borders around the island. :|
