A bright Pokémon Center shelf absolutely overflowing with huge, huggable Eevee evolutions-soft pink Sylveons, icy blue Glaceons, shadowy Umbreons, and more-staring down from every tier like a coordinated assault on a dragon's self-control.

A telltale yellow Pokémon Center bag bulging with familiar brown and gray ears; the valiant dragon mutters, "I can resist... I can resist..." while the evidence of total surrender peeks right back at him.

One thing I will say: China punched well above its weight; I remember being unimpressed over 2 decades ago, when I was a teenager. I am now very much the opposite and I intend to return for more adventures. So, till next time. Not an if. Just when.
