Another popular, "influential" rock group about which I was entirely clueless. This track "Break," to me , sounds as though AC was channelling The Beatles during their psychedelic phase. Among the members of AC: Evangelos Papathanassiou, better known as "Vangelis." www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIBg...

Yeah, I always wondered about NPR and PBS promoting themselves as "public" media outlets while simultaneously being financially supported by corporate donors and sponsors. media.npr.org/documents/ab... pbsfundingcredits.fandom.com/wiki/All_Spo... bsky.app/profile/ralp...

Summer 1963. I'm standing with my family amongst a crowd of parade-watchers. Standing next to the local movie theatre showing "The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock" starring my favorite comedian Lou Costello . . .

It's 1951. The Rosenbergs are sentenced to death. "The King and I" opens on Broadway. Harry S. Truman relieves Gen. Douglas MacArthur of command. Dennis the Menace runs amok in the "funny pages." . . . and for nine weeks, this hit is No. 1 on the Billboard chart: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkGf...
