Thanksgiving was on the ballot in Wisconsin and tonight…Thanksgiving won. 🦃

Does that mean people will support Mike Rogers? Some have already expressed they will. I think most just won’t actively advocate for him. They may leave it blank and vote down the line or they may sit out entirely given people’s dismissal of their concerns. (end)

Will he address the attack on the synagogue in his own state in a meaningful way? TBC: saying he “loves Jews and the Jewish people” doesn’t mean shit when there’s an attack on a synagogue, aimed at children and his response is to shrug his shoulders & try to justify/sanewash it.

This is a wait and see moment. Will he continue to blame Israel for everything? Will he continue to say that Jews/Judiasm and Israel should all be separate (once again, casting Jews as either “good” if they reject this connection or “bad” if they don’t or don’t say they will)?

🧵 some thoughts about Abdul El-Sayed: talking to Jews in Michigan and outside the state, there’s still a lot of hurt and harm he has done over the course of his primary that simple lip service cannot erase. There has to be real acknowledgment and accountability.

And that's exactly what Jenny did: she told people about the alleged rape contemporaneously. She has been consistent with her story for years (again, before Platner was "known"). I believe Jenny. I believe Lyndsey. And other stories may still come to light. (END)

Survivors may still be afraid of their attacker or they may not want to deal with it in that way. The shame, guilt, and psychological damage might make them want to bury this all down and forget it. But they WILL message friends and family or tell partners about it later (12/x)

Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
3. Survivors may never send their attacker a message that essentially says “hey, you attacked me” in the hopes of getting their attacker to confirm this. And this shouldn't be the bar for whether they should be believed or not. (11/x)
1232 23
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
1. Jenny told people about it contemporaneously in other ways. 2. People have been raped before the advent of social media/text messages/modern tech, and we have evidence or capacity to believe them (e.g. E. Jean Carroll) (10/x)

Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
The Politico reporter said on Morning Joe that Jenny tried to recover the IG messages with Platner but couldn't. However, this DOESN'T impugn her credibility in my eyes for several reasons. (9/x)
1212 21
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Jenny's reasons for not wanting to go on the record with the NYT about the rape allegation is understandable given: She didn’t want to be known as a rape victim, she was scared, she agreed with his politics. All of which can be very confusing for a survivor to feel. (8/x)
1222 22
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
As many problems as I have with the NYT story about Platner (They left Lyndsey Fifield out to dry) they had enough corroboration to publish part of Jenny's story: there was a disturbing incident w/ Graham when he came over drunk. They wouldn't JUST take her word for it (7/x)

Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Emphasizing this: Racicot told people the same story a couple of years before Platner was "known." (This knocks down the argument that this was all politically motivated or going after someone bc they're "famous") This speaks to credibility. (6/x)
2294 29
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
And of course, some survivors fear retaliation from their rapist or those around them. However, Jenny Racicot TOLD people contemporaneously about what happened. This includes her therapist, a bf, and an acquaintance BEFORE Graham Platner was "known" (5/x)
1327 32
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Some survivors wrongly feel guilty that they “let it happen.” “Why did I pick up the phone? Why did I let him in the house? Why did I go to Bergdorf Goodman with him?” Etc. Which contributes to them not wanting to go to authorities or keep it to themselves (4/x)
1282 28
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
Survivors often feel like they won’t be taken seriously with any accusation of rape but ESPECIALLY when an intimate partner commits it. They worry cops will say “wait, he’s your boyfriend/husband? Is that really rape?” (3/x)
3284 28
Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 07/07/2026
One of the most common refrains from people who doubt survivors is to say: "Why didn't you call the police?" or "Why is there no police report?" - A lot of people don’t file police reports when incidents like this happen for multiple reasons (2/x)

🧵My POV as a reporter who has previously investigated allegations of rape and sexual assault to explain why Jenny Racicot's accusation that Graham Platner raped her is credible and to push back against people trying to discredit her (1/x)

We will figure out who knew what when (Fight agency, podbros, MSNOW anchors, electeds) But for now the focus needs to be on two things: 1. Support for the survivors who came forward 2. Platner needs to drop out. Now.

Let me be very clear: if you wander into my mentions being hateful towards anyone, you’re going to get bounced out of here. And a helpful suggestion to Sue Romulus, who thought it’d be a good idea to try to blame 9/11 on “Zionism”…keep your lies about Zionism and the Jews out of your filthy mouth.

There are other PACs that spend way more than they do. But do they get as much attention from the “get dark money out of politics!” crowd?

Dan Przygoda @dprzygoda.bsky.social · 14/06/2026
Oh look, the bigot is back in the mentions! (Couldn’t stay away for long I see) AIPAC is an American PAC, so is J Street. So your assertion that it’s “Israeli money” is wrong. There are MANY American PACs that advocate support for other countries but how come you only focus on the Jewish ones? 🤔🤔🤔

Even 3rd grade math teachers tell their students to “show their work” so why can’t Track AIPAC do the same?

Lever News is not a serious outlet. And once again: if Track AIPAC is so good at distilling the numbers why do they constantly conflate J-Street with AIPAC or conflate Jewish donors with AIPAC?

100% wrong Annia bc according to Track AIPAC they HAVE the numbers, so why aren’t they clear about THEIR OWN methodology?

It appears Cory uses a VPN to look like she's posting in the U.S. perhaps because she's aware of the legal and civil problems she'd potentially run afoul of with Section 130 of the German Criminal code which deals with Volksverhetzung (Incitement to Hatred/Mass Incitement) (2/x)
