Chatted with Governor Inslee(Washington 2013-2024) at the White House! Washington conducts elections almost entirely by mail, which the governor reiterated is safe and secure! So glad we have him fighting the good fight with us! @maddow.bsky.social @maddowblog.bsky.social @govjayinslee.bsky.social

At the Capitol, we met 2 Wyoming girls visiting DC to compete in the National History Day contest. Their project was to sing a medley of 1960s protest songs. Glad they sang with us. Feeling more hopeful now that we can get through this together! @maddow.bsky.social @maddowblog.bsky.social

NEW: Yes, ICE can lie to you and to other law enforcement—and they've been doing it for decades. @telliotter.bsky.social reports: www.wired.com/story/why-ic...

New from me: Last month ICE agents arrested a Columbia student inside university housing after gaining access to the building by claiming to be police looking for a missing 5 year old. In other words, they used a "ruse." And in many cases, that's legal. www.wired.com/story/why-ic...

Florida had an election this week, and Trump voted by mail. Again. It's almost like mail-in voting is convenient and secure.
Trump calls voting by mail 'cheating' just days after voting by mail. President called practice 'mail-in-cheating' at Monday event after voting in Florida House race via mail. By Shrai Popat in Washington.
