Those initial Gen V haters didn’t realize how good they had it with the 2D sprites before Pokemon transitioned to 3D.

My physical copy of Splatoon Raiders has finally arrived! I would’ve also gotten my physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles DE Switch 2 yesterday, but the delivery was delayed for up to another week. Bummed about that but at least I got Splatoon Raiders physically!

Grim Fandango Remastered had the right idea having an achievement/trophy tied to using classic tank controls the entire game.

I remember Fleets very well considering Fadel was the one who used it the most. 😆

Thankful for them even tackling JRPG voice lines and in some cases giving us full length movies.

Xemnas’s Laser Dome going from a button mash cutscene KH2, while still iconic IMO, to an actual Desperation Move in KH3 Re:Mind was so cool.

Playing Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for the first time and I’m currently 15 hours in so far. Safe to say that finally starting the Trails series was the right call and I’m having a blast. #Trails

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles has arrived! It’ll be my first time playing FF Tactics! I don’t play tactical RPGs that often. So I’m excited to get out my comfort zone a bit and play more strategically for a change! 😁

With Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave releasing next year. I need to go back and actually finish Three Houses and start Three Hopes. Might finish Engage as well. I’m new to FE as I don’t really play tactical RPGs that often, but I’d like to give this series and genre a proper chance.

000

Cody @doxycdreamer.bsky.social · 09/09/2025

Maybe it’s because I’ve played Soulsborne since the original Dark Souls. Maybe it’s also because I’ve played Hollow Knight three times now, and finished a replay right before Silksong came out. But so far I don’t really mind enemies dealing 2 mask damage in Silksong.

010

Cody @doxycdreamer.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

I just finished my replay of Hollow Knight and it’s still amazing! Got the Dream No More ending and over 100 percent completion! Saving the Pantheon for another time. I’m ready for Silksong tomorrow!!

000

Cody @doxycdreamer.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

This has to be one of the fastest two weeks of my life because what do you MEAN Hollow Knight: Silksong comes out TOMORROW?!

000

Cody @doxycdreamer.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

Is it okay for me to say that finally starting the Trails series properly with the first game gives me the same feeling I had getting into Kingdom Hearts back then? Because I’ve been looking forward to starting another long JRPG series with a continuous story and plenty of lore.

020

Cody @doxycdreamer.bsky.social · 22/08/2025

Now replaying Hollow Knight for the 3rd time since I last finished it back in 2022. 🥲

Lies of P is one of my favorite soulslikes and recommend as it’s often regarded as having close to the same level of quality of a Fromsoft game. They even added difficulty options to Lies of P with the release of the DLC. The “Legendary Stalker” being the game’s original default difficulty.

As much as I’m still trying to patiently wait for substantial Kingdom Hearts 4 news. With ML now being cancelled. Depending on how much they’re doing with Kairi training under Aqua. I’d be happy with a full subtitled game dedicated to it and not have it be just a segment in KH4.

Playing Donkey Kong Bananza and just finished Lagoon Layer at 100%, before moving on to the next Layer. I like to collect everything as I go in pretty much every platformer I play, as I always have since the PS2 era as a kid. Yeah this’ll end up being one of my favorite games.

I got the platinum for Death Stranding: Director’s Cut! Didn’t think I would get this one back in 2019 after I put it in the backlog at the beginning of Episode 3. Now after pushing through and getting properly addicted to deliveries, I finally get it. Excited to play Death Stranding 2 now!

I finished Death Stranding Director’s Cut! When the game originally came out, I didn’t make it far in Episode 3 and left in the backlog. Years later I gave it another shot now that DS2 is out and 70 hours later, I finally finished it! This game really won me over in the end! 🥲

I really hope Tech Points are reintroduced in Kingdom Hearts 4 and are a mainstay throughout The Lost Master arc. Not only can you parry/deflect enemies, but also rewarded for figuring out their weak spots and elemental weaknesses! Being able to do that in KH1 was always fun. #KingdomHearts
