I was at work when I came across the #Hannictober hashtag and did this sketch during a meeting. It’s pretty rough, but I was excited to take part.

Actually I lie: the reason I was thinking about that is because I am in the lounge between flights and got up to us the bathroom and left my drink with the assumption that people had seen me and said “no thanks” because I’m now too old to be drugged

A friend of mine has a true crime podcast and for some reason I was thinking of a conversation we had where we agreed being in our 40s has a number of perks, including being relatively uninteresting to serial killers.

I don’t think I can fully express how little I want to be at work right now. Nothing’s wrong. I don’t even dislike my job. I just don’t want to adult today.

My … fourth? Yes, my fourth Omega Will Fest fic has been revealed! (As usual I picked a lot of prompts) This one is a Mizumono fix-it of sorts, where Hannibal decides not to stab Will. archiveofourown.org/works/93155726 #Hannibal #OmegaWillFest2026

Probably TMI, but I did a 3 mile run this morning and had the worst what felt like period cramps for the last mile of it. Except that I’m not actually on my period, rarely get cramps like that when I am, and when I do running actually makes me feel better, not worse. So … WTF.

And my third fic for Omega Will Fest is revealed! This one was written for a prompt where Char falls in love with the new stable hand (One Eye) #OmegaWillFest2026 #Hannibal archiveofourown.org/works/92798241

I can’t wait to have time to go back and read everyone else’s OWF fics. I was so far behind where I wanted to be writing wise I am basically just focused on making sure my own are actually done in time for their reveals 🤣 I’m cutting it awfully close with deadlines this go round. 🥵

I’m sort of over people atm, which is unfortunate because my job revolves around dealing with … you guessed it. For whatever reason I don’t even want to see my friends today, I’m just really done and need to be left alone for a bit. So of course I’m on social media 😆 🤦‍♀️

dovesummer @dovesummer.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I considered titling that fic “Five Fleeting Nanoseconds of Fame” because I kept hearing that Delton 3030 line in my head … but it doesn’t really fit the story and also I wasn’t sure anyone would get the reference 😂

I have actually managed to find some time to write recently which is a relief because as I told the OWF mods I am really far behind where I want to be but I have these stories in my head and I am frantically writing 😂

I always thought the stag connection in #Hannibal was clear, since Will is looking at that statue in Hannibal’s office and then it started appearing to him. I miss plenty, believe me, but that one I caught 😂

There are other good shows on here too. Alias Grace was so good. And Detroiters and Don’t trust the B in Apt 23 both deserved more episodes. Or I would have liked for episodes anyway 😂

Well the commenter who asked if I used AI apologized for doubting me. Which I appreciate, although I’m still miffed that they asked to begin with.

It was my second time ever on a horse the other day. My house kept trying to drink seawater and at the end of the ride he bit another horse’s butt out of nowhere 🤣

040

dovesummer @dovesummer.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Oh wow. Yeah I kind of feel like there’s a general etiquette on Ao3 of keeping negative comments to yourself. But personally I would take a bad review over that question, because the “I didn’t get it” is definitely not what bothered me.

000

dovesummer @dovesummer.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

I debated even responding to the comment and in the end I did and just said no. In general ao3 etiquette is don’t comment if it’s negative. I don’t mind some constructive criticism, but “constructive” is important. Of course the criticism of not getting it isn’t what irritated me anyway …

130

dovesummer @dovesummer.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Yeah I was super annoyed. You didn’t follow it, you didn’t like it, fine. I would obviously rather people did but I get that I won’t please everyone. But to be like “I didn’t get this did you use AI?”
