Hey @aduralde.bsky.social …heard anything about this movie? It’s being booked by the same guy that brought us plebes in Schenectady Hundreds of Beavers and Late Night With The Devil, so I have some trust, but was hoping if you could tell me if this was worth my time. He’s pretty much insisting I go.

There have been a few movies filmed here in Schenectady (Ghost Story, parts of Sneakers, etc.), but this one is actually filmed and set here. Not a great film, but good enough. The Place Beyond the Pines (which is roughly what Schenectady translates to in English).

Pleased to announce my next project! The Bridge That Eats Trucks is an anthology of stories centered around the infamous Glenville Bridge! Featuring stories and art from a swell bunch of local creators like Shane Moore & Mike Spring, as well as Myron Lauzon, Peter Sefcik, and my brother Rick!

Absolutely gorgeous night at the Hi-Way Drive-In in Coxsackie last night for director Gary Hustwit’s phenomenal doc about Brian Eno! Included were rooftop performances by legendary guitarist Fred Frith and Cibo Matto’s Yuko Honda. A great night spent with friends (& aging hipsters) under the stars.

Blast from the past! The IATSE Local #233 (aka the Buffalo Projectionists Union) newsletter for January/February 1994 featuring a little write-up on my comic strip Tales from the Dougside, which had been running weekly in Buffalo Night-Life Magazine for just under 2 years at that point.
