I'm not saying the folks who were creating DND had some stuff going on. But the folks who were inventing DND had some stuff going on. #OSR

I think it is really important to remember that the same dudes telling you AI art is inevitable were telling you, four or five years ago, that digital pictures of monkeys were a good investment.

The thing people should know about ZZ Top is that those early records, like Tres Hombres for example, are the gold standard for how rock records should sound. Immaculately recorded records, true auteur stuff, albums that set out to be exactly what they are

I think a lot about when Conan went to NYC, started a street gang, bought a leopard and got asked to join the Avengers after nearly ending Cap. #conanthebarbarian

They made one of the first records I ever bought, and the Stray Cats probably have an outsized role in defining what I think is "cool" ever since. Finally seeing them last night -- particularly after Brian Setzer's health scare last year -- was truly electric.

Still writing. Still heroic fantasy short stories in the sword & sorcery tradition. Still pulpy and punchy. And this one's getting weird. [Please pretend that was communicated in the manner of a motivated content creator -- like, I did a little dance or something]. #fantasylit #specfic

Regarding the Horror Writers Association (HWA) newsletter promoting AI usage, why why why do people keep using the term "gatekeepers" to describe those opposed to the use of LLMs in writing and art? The true gatekeepers are the billionaire tech bros whose companies push to normalize AI usage. 1/
