Signs your favorite national reporter does not watch the Hornets 1. says that the Hornets don't play defense 2. says that Mark Williams runs the floor 3. says that Mark Williams is a rim protector 4. says LaMelo Ball is not a winning player (meaningless)

From a Hornets perspective, the real chasm between feeling good about this trade and feeling terrible is your answer to the question, "Did you watch the Hornets the last 2-3 weeks?" and it’s entirely understandable if the answer to that question is no.

If the Lakers were looking for a great lob threat *in the half court* they found their big. If the Lakers were looking for a great lob threat *in transition* they did not. If the Lakers were looking for a big man who will be tough and physical inside and defend the rim...they REALLY did not.

Okay I now fully expect PHX to panic trade for Miles Bridges. There’s a history there. If you have 7 beers and squint Bridges is a Butler comp. They can send back those weird picks they split and Nurkic. There would have to be a bunch of hoops because of the CBA but I believe in JP.

The groundhog is undersized and shoots 30%. No place for him in the modern NBA.

oh boy Hornets on local TV means they are moving the Bachelor premiere. In Nashville, whenever meteorologist Danielle Breezy pre-empts an episode with honest to god TORNADO warnings people freak the bleep out.

“EVERYONE CAN WATCH!” is a hilarious admission of the current system’s failure. In a sane world that would always be the goal of a sports franchise. Down with the RSNs.

Still awaiting official word from NBA on status of tomorrow's game here at Intuit Dome, but league source told me NBA will also postpone #Hornets matchup against LA Clippers on Saturday due to area wildfires.

There should be a name for when everyone posts about "not caring about" a thing so much that it trends and everyone ends up caring about the thing. It's adjacent to the Streisand Effect.

Brandon Miller (ankle) will make his return tonight in Washington against the Wizards, per league sources. He's missed the last 3 games. #Hornets, looking to snap 5-game losing streak, are getting their versatile swingman back.

I'll be wearing a tank top tonight in honor of this game.

The Charlotte Hornets are 28/127 (22%) from 3 in their last 3 games.

The Hornets held a 36 point advantage in points off turnovers + 2nd chance points and LOSE…to the Washington Wizards. Do you know how poorly you have to shoot and play defense to lose a game with that advantage. Nuts.

If teams want more fans in the stands and watching at home it's really simple. Offer value on amenities, put the games on broadcast television. It's crazy how penny wise, pound foolish so many franchises are.

If the Hornets REALLY wanted to be cruel to the kid they took the PS5 from they would have just gifted him a year’s streaming subscription to Fanduel Sports Southeast.

Since winning back to back games against Detroit and Indiana in early November, the Charlotte Hornets have gone 3-14, with two of those three victories coming against…Detroit and Indiana.

League-average FG% on shots to tie or take the lead in the final minute is 33%. 3P%: 23% Barrett's 10 misses lead the league, followed by Brandon Miller (2-for-10). DeRozan (0-for-5) & Booker (0-for-4) have the most attempts without a make this season.
