I’ve used BBC News as my primary news source my entire life, but the absolute deluge of GenAI stories sourced from a small number of companies is turning me away. Today we’ve had 3 different YouTube videos, a headline news story, TV reports and at one stage recently every single technology story.

I still use Microsoft Recall. I think I might be the only person as it frequently breaks, the UI refuses to work, the snapshots break... today we have (another) model update where it stops taking snapshots until you happen to notice it and manually fix it. It's a very weird and unfinished product.

The game was a massive commercial flop, the biggest video game bomb ever commercially. Almost all the staff were laid off. The execs involved publicly claimed their own staff sabotaged the game, rather than admit their direction sucked. The union is taking legal action over a range of issues.
