Can a nation organized and governed such as ours endure? A whole world looks to see what we will do. We cannot fail their trust. We cannot fail to try.

Mochi loved everybody, and everybody loved Mochi. He assisted repairmen, he greeted all lady visitors, he inspected your food for abnormalities and cheese (he was cuckoo for Camembert). No one loved him more than his adopted daughters, those silly sister cats, Mantis and Wanda.

My sweetest boy, big bubba dumpling of love, Mochi cat, has passed away, just shy of his 17th birthday. He made it 10 years on twice daily insulin injections. There never was a bigger love. There never were louder purrs. He chose today because he knew the puzzles would honor him. Miss him forever.

Great point here from @owillis.bsky.social -- Trump's historic media savvy doesn't work when the news media doesn't play along, and his attempts to construct a news media alternative so far have played worse than his war on Iran. www.dailykos.com/stories/2026...

Maybe, with a little bit of luck, one of them will grow up to be the formative moral philosopher of our time...
The great Stanley Holloway in costume as Alfred P. Doolittle, father of Eliza, and the only likeable character in "My Fair Lady." Also, great moral philosopher.

I did not know until just NOW that they remade "It Happened One Night" in 1956 with JACK LEMMON in place of Clark Gable and JUNE ALLYSON in place of Claudette Colbert and DICK POWELL directing in place of Frank Capra?!?! I appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
