Respectfully Brent, I find this post problematic for a couple of reasons: - This reads as an endorsement of OpenClaw, which is a nightmare from a security/privacy perspective. - There are ethical (and perhaps legal?) issues with AI impersonating real people without their consent. Just my 2c

That’s absolutely gorgeous, I had no idea you were that much into LEGO, Will! On a related note, I vibecoded this app over the weekend: brickup.dk - a collaborative LEGO set inventory tracker. My wife and kid loved it - maybe you’ll find it useful as well 😊

I want to see Satya and other US tech leaders come out and say that they unequivocally condemn this direction their country is taking. Sure, established companies won’t be able to boycott Microsoft, Google, or AWS any time soon, but European startups are certainly going to steer clear.

Hmm, I need to do some more testing, because a simple query that used TREATAS as a table filter in SUMMARIZECOLUMNS produced a more complex query plan, than one that used an equivalent FILTER. However, both queries produced exactly the same storage engine queries. This was against SSAS 2022.

Daniel Otykier @dotykier.bsky.social · 08/01/2025
I'm not sure if this should be a general recommendation. The query plan is more complex with TREATAS, and potentially it can hurt performance: www.sqlbi.com/blog/marco/2...

Oh, maybe you should use an LLM ;-)
110
Daniel Otykier @dotykier.bsky.social · 07/01/2025
Sorry, I was a bit too quick on the trigger. It seems that you have instructed the LLM to always skip translation of certain words ('date', 'or', 'hour', 'month' - and others, I assume based on the list of DAX function names). The end result is danglish, which is hillarious but not very helpful.

Oh right, yeah, I had no idea what this was supposed to mean so I guess I just subconsciously ignored it. But you're right, it's destroying the header. It seems like it's treating all 4 items as a single sentence which it's trying to translate.
