Backrooms (2026) Haunting. Phenomenal movie. Very spooky. Thankfully not super jumpy and startling. Still chewing on what we see. Highly recommended.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve (2026) Campaign is phenomenal though the ending is pretty weak. I definitely see myself playing through the campaign again just to hit the highlights. Neck-and-neck with Denshattack!! for Game of the Year. Highest of recommendations.

Vampire Survivors (I forget) Still the most bang for your buck of any game on the planet. Will make your hardware cry. I've gotten this game to 100% three times now but they keep adding more fucking achievements. Highest of recommendations

The Ghost in the Shell (2026) Vibes? Immaculate. English dub? Phenomenal. Politics? Incomprehensible. Highly recommend.

Big Walk (2026) An incredible game on paper that might fall apart upon contact with you and your friends. Only as good as your friend(s)

Vampire Crawlers (2026) I 100%ed this over the trip to Chicago. Much more structured than Vampire Survivors. A fun spin-off I probably won't play again (at least until the update drops). Recommended.

Peglin (2022) My other trip into the shocking ball torture dimension. Peggle but an RPG and also a roguelike. I do enjoy this game a lot but it gets a bit samey quicker than I'd like. Unlocking the extra characters is either a grind or an RNG fest. Still charming. Lots of puns. Recommended.

BALL x PIT (2025) Extremely satisfying. It takes a very basic idea (roguelike Breakout) and runs with it in a ton of unexpected ways. I enjoy the basebuilding and farming elements more than I anticipated. The phone app does make my phone very hot. Highly Recommend

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (2023) It's peak. I audibly gasped at so many moments of this show. I have a few thoughts on the ending. Highest of recommendations

NieR Automata ver1.1a (2023-2024) A great companion to the game, including many of the auxiliary content covered in the World Guide, manga, stage plays, light novels, etc. It doesn't replace the game but it adds to it. Highly Recommended

Forza Horizon 6 (2026) It's more Horizon. I liked the map in 5 a lot more but that's a me thing. If you liked Horizon, you'll like this game. If you didn't, it won't change your mind. Recommended

Iron Lung (2026) Surprisingly good. Clearly a passion project for all involved. Is the only film held back by the unique problem of the main character being ***fucking MARKIPLIER***. Mark does a great job. This is a me problem, not a him problem. Recommend

Denshattack! (2026) Game of the year front-runner and its not even close. It really reminded me of the sheer joy of playing games when I was younger. Highest of recommendations

Extremely slay that Denshattack has a transmasc character with transmasc VA's in both English and Japanese.

While I don't think if will move the needle on if you did or didn't enjoy the show already, the Bridon Arc was peak.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer (2010) It's more Gundam 00. You get to see Saji hit an alien with a steel chair. It kinda falls into the lukewarm anime movie miasma of just kinda being more of the show, for better and for worse. Soft Recommend

Link Click (2021-Ongoing) Is it too much to ask for Crunchyroll to add Domestic Abuse as a content warning? Anyways, uh... a lot going on with this one. Mystery shows are kind of hard to describe without getting into spoilers. Kinda stunlocked still. Your mileage may very.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (2008) A top three mecha of all time for me. Great animation, immaculate storytelling, and a narrative that remains relevant to conflicts in the modern day. Just prepare for some of the most character names of all time. Highest of recommendations.

Chunks (2026) I am sure this is for someone but it is not for me. Not funny, didn't laugh. Do not recommend.

Trigun Stargaze (2026) Phenomenal. A big step up on Stampede (which was already quite good). Extremely satisfying ending. Love and Peace Highly recommend

DotVersion2 @dotv2.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (2025) Quite enjoyable, though some of the impact hinges on you knowing about the Universal Century setting (of which I do not). Still, a fun twelve episode romp that doesn't overstay its welcome. Recommend

Heat (1995) Pretty much as good as everyone said it would be. I still don't think any movie should be this long, though. Highly recommend

DotVersion2 @dotv2.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

Trigun Stampede (2023) Phenomenal, though I do miss the lighter tone of the original anime. Orange really brings their A game on this one, especially with the action scenes. I love Vash's faggot haircut. Highly recommend

DotVersion2 @dotv2.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

Eddington (2025) The ghost of David Lynch is haunting me. Much like with One Battle After Another, this is going to be one of those movies that I thought was extremely good but is very hard to recommend. Your mileage may vary.

110

DotVersion2 @dotv2.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Tokyo Revengers (2021) [Dropped] Dipped after the first twelve episodes. The premise and supporting cast are great but Takemichi is such a miserable main character to follow around. Do not recommend.

110

DotVersion2 @dotv2.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

One Battle After Another (2025) Imperfect but deeply human. I feel like I need to rewatch it two or three more times... which is unlikely because it is too fucking long. You get what you put into it, much like life itself. Your mileage may vary.

The Boys [Season 5] (2026) Good final episode. The rest of the season is... inconsistent, to put it charitably. Better than Season 4. I am gonna stew on my feelings for a little bit and maybe expand on it later. Your mileage may vary.
