If this is my body's attempt to evolve gills, I have some questions about it's choices. But... Could they be??

Close on my first two finger pads...cut evenly with tiny parallel lines, longer closer to the tip and tapering smaller closer to the first knuckle. ...growing gills?

Trying to find ways to work smarter not harder with foundation paper piecing for this year's quilt. I don't have FPP printer paper (that's a thing???) so I'm using tracing paper I already had.

One starburst block pattern printed on regular paper and taped together. Not pretty but functional.

Same starburst pattern now traced onto a couple of tracing pages that are also taped together. They weren't quite big enough to get the whole block on one.

John Saw and John Jigsaw is his name. Even if it's not.

I'm calling it now. Fashion of the future.

Wearable ice packs. Neck, shoulders, and upper back. And a shoulder sling that looks like a vibrantly colored medieval armor piece. They both kinda do.

Wearable ice pack. Shaped to fit the lower back. Honestly this one looks pretty cool... Pun not intended, oh well. Kinda gets at a sci-fi vibe, let's do this.

No matter what I've tried or videos I've checked for help, I can't get my mics to pick up sound for recording on my laptop. Theoretically at least the mixer works, cuz I've gotten reactions from it, but I'm at a loss. Halp?

If you need something nice, I present to you Stormy Night. A delightful anime about a wolf and a goat and love.

Poster and the start of the Wikipedia writeup on Stormy Night, highlighting first the awards it's won.

A scraggly wolf and a chibi cute goat sitting in the snow together. The goat has an unfolded lunch napkin with fresh greens piled on it. A goat's bento, if you will.

Ten years ago today. Life changed, and eventually I learned that while it would never be the "same" it also wasn't really all that different either. (Not to say diabetes is easy. No type is.) Ten years later, I'm actually thriving pretty well. I'm proud of me and grateful for my amazing support.💙

The Ten Year award coin from Children with Diabetes. Though I was an adult when diagnosed, they send a recognition coin when you fill out the form to request one. It's a lovely, hefty coin, gold color with a large 10 and text, A celebration of a life well lived.

Flip side of the ten year coin, the Journey Award, featuring a relief image of a person hiking with a huge backpack. Plus a glimpse of my behind-the-scenes moments with my blood sugar number from my continuous glucose monitor showing in the background.

Good to the last drop! Just a warm picnic lunch time with a Twiist insulin pump cassette change.

My pump's interactive display, showing I have 1 unit of insulin left. For context I typically start a 3 day site with 250 units.

All the things I need to change my pump cassette (supplies, cleaning and sticky wipes, controller phone, etc). Plus my lunch.

Post a non-religious picture you think of as holy. (I spent way too much timing looking for a proper picture and this screen shot from a scene is as close as I'm going to get.)

From the 2002 movie Whale Rider. Overhead angle of a twelve year old Maori girl, Paikea, sitting on a [humpback?] whale as it submerges into the strong currents of the ocean.

Recommended by a friend who played through in a weekend. Gorgeous artwork, skillfully shared emotion, incredible use of metaphor and puzzles to convey the impact of many of life's stages. Joyous, gut wrenching ... and so much fucking falling in game play. It's okay, falling just happens. Do play.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Star Wars: Galactic Racing (Now this is podracing!). Barbie: Ocean Discovery. Donkey Kong 64.

Waiting for glue.......... to dry.....................

Closeup, Mulan at a weaving loom, two layers that don't dovetail together, they sit with glue. I want to keep going but I have to wait.

And focus on background clouds attached to mountains, also with visible glue drying...the scenery has to sit upright and I'm trying to avoid saggy clouds. Hurry up and dry.

I looked away from the marigold seeds for a day or two.

My new plant babies. In two takeout food trays, cardboard rolls now home dozens of tiny two-leafed sprigs, waiting just a little longer for me to throw together a simple garden plot for this year.

This one cracks me up the most. I'm not sure where it got confused, but the seed sprouted and that lifted the seed itself into the air, not secure in the soil.
