When she lost her most recent tooth, my 8yo daughter wrote to the Tooth Fairy asking what the teeth were needed for. Today, the Tooth Fairy wrote back.

In a “fancy script” is written:

Dear Isla,

Thank you for your letter, & for selling us your teeth. We use the shiny ones for tiles, and the not shiny ones for bricks. Your ones are always shiny, so we made them into a swimming pool. Splash!

I hate computering sometimes 🙃

A quiz has the question “what is the correct way to check if a variable x is equal to 5 in Javascript?”

The options are:

A) x == 5
B) x = 5
C) x === 5
D) x != 5

A & C have 47% of the votes each – the fact that neither answer is unequivocally wrong or right says a lot about why TypeScript etc arose in the first place.
