I feel like the reason many people (myself pre-this-post included) saw them as having mono-eyes is probably a combo of the misconception of "Sonic inspired character = Sonic eyes" + the dark lines that border the white and orange parts of their faces looking kinda like eyelashes

After buying the album on bandcamp and burning the vocal tracks to a cd, I decided to make some custom covers for @1207cbc.bsky.social's "Take Care of Yourself." It's an earnestly beautiful album that brings me to tears, just like the amazing game it accompanies.

Cashew was a stray that my sister and her girlfriend took in after finding him outside with a dangerous eye condition. (I can't remember if it was an infection or an injury.) Unfortunately the vet was not able to save his eye, but at least he's still a good demoman.

Basil was the second to be adopted. He is the fluffiest cat I have ever met, it's insane. He does have an eye condition that makes him partially blind but he doesn't let it get in his way.
