Me: "Oh Innuendo Studios made a new video about John Wick? I've never seen a single one of them but this should be a fun watch" *one hour later* "If John Wick 5 isn't about Keanu Reeves leading a Communist revolution, we riot"

permanent daylight savings doesn't go far enough

GET RID OF TIME, BUT NOT THE ZONES

a map of the US, divided vertically into 12 time zones, permanently fixed to 1:00 to 12:00. it's divided horizontally by the AM/PM line

FIXED TIME FIXES TIME!

Gus Van Sant and Lars von Trier are each other's Wario, am I crazy for thinking this?

I don't get the logistics of why some companies don't take certain cards, but my credit card company is merging into another one anyway so who cares

I feel like I am being gaslit by my own credit card company because I keep seeing ads for Discover saying "of course they take Discover" when I was declined this week by a restaurant because, surprise surprise, they did not in fact take Discover

I have only watched the Kinds of Kindness trailer like once maybe? But I've watched dozens of other movies edited in the style of that trailer, that's how you know the original trailer is brilliant. We moved past that trend far too quickly

I refuse to watch movie trailers but will obsessively watch and rewatch fan made trailers of one movie in the style of another movie's trailer

Paul Thomas Anderson has to be the easier to say name in the English language, like saying the letters just makes it more difficult

Jared @dothedood.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

I have a coworker who called me "way too cool" because I kept shortening Paul Thomas Anderson to "PTA". Dude, I am just on online film circles too much, it's honestly embarrassing I didn't even realize I was doing that 😭

Just taking what ChatGPT says as true is a super slippery slope. It's like when teachers used to be mad if you cited Wikipedia as a source, making it clear you barely did any research, but at least Wikipedia has consistent fact-checkers

Jared @dothedood.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

He addresses the water concerns but the bigger issue is relying on a chatbot for facts and data when ChatGPT just makes shit up all the time. Like what's the point of asking if you have to check what it spits out is even true?! This is how lawyers cite fictitious cases in court

Jared @dothedood.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

Currently watching the new Ethan Nestor video (always enjoy a good Ethan and Mark Collab) but jesus! Could we like... not rely on ChatGPT for research? Mark just casually asks ChatGPT some very googleable questions and like why?!
