A symptom of the failure of society in general is that actors are having to provide social care for children.

No, definitely not! Great shirt to have though.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

Even better than that, I now have the current shirt in my possession after my wife brought it back from Rapa Nui, where she spent Christmas! Not sure there are many of these floating about! A worthy addition to the collection.

Did you know that Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island), the remote island in the South Pacific, home of the Moai (giant heads), has a football team? They play their games at the Hanga Roa Stadium and their first official match was in the Chilean cup v Colo Colo in 2009.

Really enjoyed doing this and also listening to the other great collector interviews too.

My press is very similar to yours, the cushion 100% made it easier, also avoided any unsightly creases or pulls from the angular edge of the base plate.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 27/12/2024

Teflon cushions of varying sizes are a good shout if you haven't got them. The main ones I use are 40x40cm for name/number and two narrow ones for sleeve patches, one slightly longer than the other.

Get some cheap namesets and practice on some cheap fakes, it's what I did. You pick it up pretty quickly.

A lovely little Christmas haul. Merry Christmas everyone, hope you're all having a lovely day.

It's a horrible thing that happened to that poor woman. Watch Republicans twist it to pretend it only happened because of Daniel Perry or Kyle Rittenhouse though, that 'good people' are now scared of intervening, destroying our way of life, blah blah it's the fault of the left etc.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 24/12/2024

Some absolutely crackers in there. Top tier stuff.

030

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Yep, this is right up my street!

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

They really do look very nice together! If I can get a black away shirt of his it will be a cool little set to have in the collection.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

My final shirt addition of 2024 is this match worn Filippo Bandinelli Spezia away shirt, worn in the 2-0 loss to Palermo on 01/12/24. Another great Kappa shirt for Spezia, and my second match worn shirt for Mr Bandinelli. Will hopefully complete the set in the new year.

Kitscene issue 3 is here and it will make for great Christmas reading. Not only because it is full of pages of kit goodness but also because I got to contribute to it!

010

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 21/12/2024

Absolutely. This one is very nice. I've never had the budget or the timing for a limited edition one but I think I prefer having a match worn one!

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 21/12/2024

Love it when you complete a set. And what a set.

030

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 21/12/2024

The final of my 3 new match worn arrivals is this Slovenia away shirt worn by Erik Janža in the 1-0 Nations League away win v Kazakhstan on 13/10/24. Janža provided the assist for the winning goal from Jan Mlakar. The detailing in the fabric is once again lovely.

020

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 21/12/2024

The second new match worn shirt arrival is this Villarreal home shirt, worn by Santi Comesaña in the 2-1 away win against Valladolid in La Liga on 26th October 2024. Santi has been one of my favourite players over several versions of Football Manager, delighted to grab one of his shirts.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 21/12/2024

First of 3 new match worn shirts. This one was worn by Nina Jakobsson in the Damallsvenskan match v Norrköping on 4th May 2024. AIK won 3-2. First Nike player issue shirt in my collection, really nice material. The yellow details on the black really pop, it's a fantastic shirt.

That's me home from my last ship for a while. Will be starting a new role in January, still in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, but in the recruitment team. Also: 4 matchworn, 1 squad signed and 4 other shirts have arrived while I've been away 🤣🤣 Photos to follow.

The scabbiest of scabs. Obviously we have our own problems with UK police, the Met in particular, however American police are another breed. Bought and paid for.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 19/12/2024

Everton 23/24 Away shirt, patched up with the nameset of Belgian international midfielder Justine Vanhaevermaet. A really nice retro style to this Hummel effort.

It's easy to laugh off stuff like this as American Republicans being loopy, or say stuff like 'they voted for it, they deserve it' but have no doubt, once poor Americans are riddled with diseases that were once eradicated, the world will be.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Bukayo Saka is really good at football you know.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

How about this Mormenekse GBSK 13/14 away shirt from the Northern Cypriot League?

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 10/12/2024

I can confirm that this is a fantastic book and well worth a read!

Mad considering she is hands down one of the most insufferable dimwits to ever have the privilege of airtime.

010

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Could just watch Declan Rice putting the ball on top of the keeper with every corner for 90 minutes to be honest.

10pm on a work night, game is won, 2 tube stations that are totally rammed after the game finishes, people that live outside the immediate area aren't going to be home before midnight. I can understand it.

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

With a smattering of continental trophies and 18 domestic trophies, USM Alger are on of the most successful clubs in Algeria. This home shirt from Kappa was in use for both the 21/22 and 22/23 seasons.

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Why have these pure miseries started coming here? Stay in the other place FFS.

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Yeah this is such a Twitter reply. Nobody needs that kind of negativity.

030

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Well I am shocked, shocked I tell you.

010

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

This is 100% it. Players are happy to compromise their religious beliefs except when it comes to other people. It is the very definition of selective outrage.

050

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Been working on something on my website for a while now, not the easiest thing to do when on a ship, but I'm very happy with how it all turned out, and if you're in any way inclined to take a look, or throw a like or share my way, I'd be eternally grateful! Cheers all!

010

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Well isn't that just beautiful.

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

I don't expect to see so many commentators earnestly suggesting that Arsenal would be better off with Emery than Arteta this weekend.

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

This is the kind of science I can get behind.

010

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

At least some of the West Ham fans might stay for the second half this time.

000

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Norwich and Arsenal have both scored 4 today. Today is a good day. Also yesterday I got offered a job I interviewed for earlier in the week so it's really going quite well overall.

030

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Adam is certainly my favourite. I don't know what it is but the whole vibe of the TNT Serie A coverage has been great for a while.

010

Dorling @dorling83.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

Yeah long haul tends to be safe, but on my football watching trips to Europe we only have our hand luggage so you've got to play the game a little!
