I know you didn’t want to write this to moralize, and I don’t point this out to judge you or anyone (I applaud you for recognizing it) but this really is one of the things that scares me most about genAI. I don’t want to use or especially rely on something that will impact my cognition like this

The more it becomes a crutch to lean on, not a tool to help you. I used it for images, but it’s available to do scripting, ideation, everything that a creative mind should be handling. Why are we here, if we’re not pursuing something valuable, human, and real? If art is the mirror we hold up to ourselves, why on Earth was I stupid enough to outsource that?

Armored Core 6 (like the rest) kind of intimidates me but maybe if I play its shorter, freakier cousin Dolls Nest it can smooth me into it eventually. If Armored Core needed anything, it's a direct appeal to my love of dollification. (Fwiw I did play Metal Wolf Chaos and enjoy it years ago)

I loved the original RE4, and I (more or less) love the batch of RE remakes and sequels that we’ve gotten over the past decade, but for some reason or another, I haven’t played the RE4 remake yet despite buying it a while ago. It’s one of my resolutions this year (along with Requiem, ofc)

You know what I’ll post one that’s both hard AND spectacular. After an entire game of running from this thing, there’s such an incredible sense of “it’s finally time to settle the score” in this fight, and that’s BEFORE it unveils its true form.
