i didnt call them but they were super fine with it, they said because it was so light it would be safer to send it with the oversized/weird luggage so it was extra safe too :0

i think the medium is sometimes challenging bc of how i perceive it (i tend to have things i do for myself/am ok with never finishing alongside projects i WANT to finish and show people) but i do need to learn it is ok to make an attempt even if it means returning to it eventually!

010

andy ✨ @dorkandy.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

ohh that's good advice. i will try and see if i can figure my project's limits to begin with!

000

andy ✨ @dorkandy.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

i like this actually because it forces me to think about the idea some more without letting go of it! i'm not sure ill be able to do it in practice but it will be good thought exercise nonetheless

#1 -- mostly figuring out the brushes i want to use and drawing smth i've drawn over and over again. i like the idea of looking at the object of ur affection in a way that's blinding so i visit it very often

a digital drawing of andy's original characters, Paradise and Heaven. The upper canvas shows Paradise looking back towards somethingwith light behind her. The bottom canvas reveals Paradise is looking at Heaven, who is looking towards Paradise with light in her face.

#inktober2026 thread! i've decided to do what i like doing -- drawing my ocs doing little things. I'm challenging myself with digital art which means i'll prob not be consistent, using brushes that mimic my trad art tendencies/supplies. goal is to draw whatever under an hour!

As we enter a new quarter, time for an update on games industry layoffs. As you can see here we're well past 50k people known to be impacted since 2020 in over 800 incidents. with 3 months to go, 2026 could end as the worst year on record. 55% of known layoff waves in 2026 have unknown headcounts.

also i don't wanna rework Big Project into Smaller Project so i'm just kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place and not sure how to turn towards a softer rock. like what do you guys do when you're in a "rut" like this. do you guys just push through it. do u have tips. do u have guidance...

210

andy ✨ @dorkandy.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

an issue is that i don't really have the bandwidth for a project from scratch that is smaller. i REALLY wanted to work on the Big Project but it turned out to be more than i can even tend to right now. i can hack away slowly but i wanted the reward of Doing A Project alongside it if it makes sense

andy ✨ @dorkandy.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

im turning here bc i know i have some artist mutuals but like. does anyone have tips for when your only creative projects are "out of scope" (endeavors bigger than ive ever done that would require energy and discipline i dont have rn) but you still want to work on something

i appreciate the ui update that shows the number of tweets in a thread, but it also makes me mad that twitter has decided to fuck up threads forever as well. im so confused as to how im supposed to approach inkto posting over there (i was planning a comic)

oh this could actually be a good start! i don't get much anymore to be fair so the bulk of my archives are from 10-15 years ago. i think a good start would be going through them year by year at the very least!

i've been thinking of an accordion folder but i wonder if it isnt gonna get super bulky? im also not sure but i like keeping things in envelopes bc it's part of the mail... to me...
