4/5 very entertaining, the jokes mostly handed on me. The film is not an outlier in the horror genre though iykwim #filmsky #residentevil #horror #horrorfilm

Next up “Our Share of Night “ by Mariana Enriquez. Super excited about this. Lapvona was alright, I didn’t mind the depravities. However the story was just meandering, so not finishing it came sort of naturally . #booksky #books #horrorbooks #horror

digital art of a giant that has a mammoth-like skull for the head. the giant figure has golden rings, bracelets, pearls, and other gemstones decorated all over its body and throughout its intestines. the figure is carrying and dragging their intestines on the floor. surrounding the figure is 8 robed figures, some carrying a basket, trumpet, or banner. two pillars are behind everything in the dark.

Currently locked in & making lots of traditional art stuff. Here some more ink wash hand studies. Still not quite what I'm aiming for style wise, but w/ a few more iterations might get there. Feedback welcome! (Only 4 episodes of sopranos left 😭). #art #artsky #ink #painting #handstudy

Attempted to create this old school video game look for a page of Ratking but ultimately ditched it because it doesn’t really fit in and looks kinda odd. Anyways, here it is. Pause Screen for DEATH 64 (lol). #artsky #retrogame

Quick ink (wash) experiment. Trying out new techniques. Never done this before and am used to oil paint so this is very challenging. Love what you can do with the colors if you know how to (still figuring that out). #art #artsky #inkwash

Dealing with a lot of self-doubt regarding Ratking (my graphic novel) rn. A lot of comparing myself with other #art, admiring all these incredible talents, + a strong urge to scrap it all. Won’t do that, but will heavily revise and replace. Anyways, here’s a detail from act II I’m also working on.

Saw Nick Cave live in Berlin a few days ago. Man that was his best performance ever. He is such a great entertainer! Probably his peak rn! Any other good recommendations? #nickcave

'Flow': 5/5 This has got to be the most beautiful animated movie I've seen (at least in a long time). There is no dialogue, just animals and their gestures. Visually stunning, funny, and heartwarming. I really recommend it!

5 (almost 6 really) years. 90 pages. The end. And now I wonder, does it exist if „no one’s“ seen it yet? New #Substack on what finishing a long #creativeproject can feel like& what I do with the quiet that may follow. Hopefully it motivates to keep going & inspire! open.substack.com/pub/dorianpf...

Look what was in the mail today. Test print of Ratking Act I. I forgot to convert the colors to CMYK so the print is waaaaay too dark but still gives a good idea how it looks printed. Some pages actually benefit from the darkness. #art #artsky #horror #comic #graphicnovel #darkart #horrorart

Saw Massive Attack live last night. Can't stop thinking about it. The music was so overwhelmingly good and at the same time the show was so extremely depressing. A very powerful art performance. #massiveattack #livemusic #berlin

Provocative, gritty, and intense. The Boros Collection sits in a Berlin WWII bunker. A soundscape reminiscent of a techno thriller, accompanied by visceral #art. Very Berlin! First Substack post about it will be out Saturday. Subscribe if #darkart is your thing: substack.com/@dorianpfeif...

Last weekend, I visited the Boros Collection in Berlin. It was an eerie experience, just listen to it and you will understand why. Typical Berlin experience: visceral, gritty, no photos. #art #boroscollection #artsky #darkart #eerie #sound
