Wonderful German invention. 'Humanol,' human meat/fat suspended in alcohol for injections. An evolution of the medieval German practice of "Armsünderschmalz," literally 'Poor sinner's fat,' eating the fat of the poor who were put to death/executed. Fell out of favour as medicine in the 1950s.
