My Starcraft 2 player starter box arrived for the tabletop game and this thing is bigger than the biggest GW starter box by a significant marging with terrain and a nice playmat too along with stuff like crystals and vespene gysers for basing. Very impressive starter box for the price.

I think Shadowlands kind of killed Retail its just been bleeding out since with attempts to shift the tone and right the ship that just havent hit in the mmo zeitgeist and a “not quite classic or retail” is the clean slate they have been chasing to pull people in.

-Station appears to have had a minor redesign with a new tower and piping/scaffolding to the south with the TAD up on there rather than in the hanger on the second floor -Have not seen any Grenadiers -Basic mooks die in one melee with 0 lvls in the cradle

-Have no seen the crows at all, think i maybe heard them once -Rocket Drone seemed to spawn in way earlier -Loot more generous. Spawned at South Relay and first large container had blue Overrun and a green shield, killed two ghosts inside for blue implants -Grenades seem much rarer

initial thoughts, though could be wrong on some obv: -Way less Ticks, way more of the yellow gas mushroom things -Guns now seem to be heard from about TAD distance at max -Enemies seem to be following farther and searching for longer, seems alerting a single POI clanker has the whole POI run to you

Perimeter certainly feels a bit different in Marathon today. Lot more of the yellow gas mushrooms, think they redesigned part of outer station, rocket drone seemed to drop in way earlier and was finding way more blue quality items in the large containers.

The novel it comes from is well worth looking up. Its about a police chief in a fantasy city where the dwarves and trolls are getting into racially motivated punch ups over some war from centuries agos anniversary and a mystery based around a stolen painting and this board game hiding a big secret

Not quite the same but you should check out Thud! And the Discworld novel its based on. One side plays a few trolls, the other a dwarf army and its all about teaching kids fantasy world equality.
