he had a 103.8F temp so infection is possible, but the swelling is all the way around the joint, and a lipoma is very unlikely.

took slam to the vet today for a lump in his leg. they are treating it as an infection first with antibiotics to see if that helps before doing a biopsy. "it's hard to tell with dogs like this if they aren't feeling well because they act so happy." fingers crossed that it's not cancer.

i don't use sol too terribly often in a coding harness, but it hasn't gone off the rails on me yet. luna otoh just tried revising/reviewing a plan so many times that i had to interrupt it.

it wrote tests so that documentation always contains specific phrases and doesn't contain other phrases in a personal project that will never be a public repo, and the documentation exists solely to inform the llm, not any users, and this is clearly stated in agents dot md. i am losing my mind.

they got so much good pr from that whole pentagon debacle. it's slightly maddening having to explain to someone that isn't dialed in why open models aren't bad and why chinese ai labs aren't evil and why maybe we should question some of the things that anthropic says about those topics.

yeah, i get it. it's a good price! and i've got access to a costco membership. i'm just fixed income with not a lot of flexibility, and that's nearly a third of my food budget.

what helped me the most with adhd was the realization that i needed to briefly mentally acknowledge the sub-task that i'd finished instead of immediately moving on and focusing on the long list of stuff left to do. viewing each part in isolation produced more of a reward mechanic upon completion.

it's the maybe that gets me. i just only really feel interested in practical applications and harness improvements. it's cool i guess. gold star for the model. feels like a failure in marketing, just pushing nerd juice instead of saying how it could improve people's lives.

maybe there are practical applications for all these math problems, but i'm not a mathematician. they are so far above my pay grade. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i would go soylent but 1.) expensive (i'm on a tight budget) and 2.) i don't think it actually meets my specific nutritional requirements.

yeah, it's already managing my food for me, for the most part. it's in a transitional period though because started zepbound and the things i can eat are changing. it handles creating my grocery list and sending them to the person that shops for me, tracking meals i like, suggestiong things. etc.

i miss having popcorn as a meal. air popper + big jug of movie theatre butter was so good.

it's not that i dislike other foods necessarily. it's more that having to figure out what to eat is sometimes too much for me to deal with. also finding affordable/convenient meals that also meet nutritional requirements is not a simple task. too many options, and i'll just go take a nap instead.
