Found these in a recycling dumpster when I was dropping off some paper. All between 1976-1985, in near perfect condition. Of course I had to rescue them. Who could just toss these?

Fell behind on this gem a bit, but I just finished bingeing the second half of the first season and hot damn this show just keeps getting better and better. For anyone that hasn’t checked it out yet, you’re doing yourself a disservice. I’m an unabashed mark and cannot wait for season 2.

Contemplating streaming Order of the Griffon. I think it would be a fantastic game to finally get my feet wet (aside from live play D&D), but I’m torn on where to stream. #dnd #streaming #retrogames #turbografx16

Being a DM is great. Sometimes you can put weeks of prep into a session, meticulously planning every detail, crafting terrain, npcs, etc. Other times (like last night) you can go into a session and the only prep is two words written in a notebook: zombie centaurs. And both are equally valid. #dnd

This card tells a story. And that story is all in the look on the faces of the monkeys in the background. They were just mind their own business, trying to get it on, and this loud ass orangutan bursts in like “what ya doing up here hur hur hur.” Absolute dick. #mtg

Incredible session on the Clockwork Nexus last night. Our Gold and Ghosts campaign is on temporary hiatus, so we started a new one called Unuvras’ Wyrm. I’m playing Vildrak “Rock Breaker” Fireforge. 1/3 of a set of dwarven triplets. And the energy of the campaign is just straight electric. #dnd

I wish I had a console capable of playing Oblivion remaster. Why you need series x/s is beyond me. But I’m still so happy people are talking about and enjoying this absolutely incredible game again. #oblivion #oblivionremastered #elderscrolls #tes

Ok this is likely because I’m a fairly fresh noob, but does Blue just…lack any identity? There is a million versions of counterspell, and then some milling shenanigans, but outside of that what is the core focus? Or IS that the focus? It just seems like the least cohesive color in design. #mtg

Magic is so overwhelming to learn cold with only AI opponents. I’ve been doing pretty well with a green/white deck, but then I tried to make mono green because I thought it would be funny…and the only thing funny has been how I’ve been unable to win a game since. #mtg

Doorstop_Idol @doorstop-idol.bsky.social · 10/04/2025

The only experience I have with Magic the Gathering is that I bought a starter deck at a comic book shop almost 30 years ago and then never played. I’m looking to change that, finally. Found out about MtG Forge Adventure and it’s pretty sweet so far. I feel like I got dropped into the ocean though.

I used to say Harry Potter wasn’t really my thing. I never got into it really outside of just general knowing things about it. But now I realize it just wasn’t the right time before. I watched all the movies with my kids, finished the last 3 today, and damn it really hit different this time.

Last night was #dnd night. The party has finally met up with the BBEG they’ve been chasing for roughly 4 irl years now. It’s a firbolg Druid, who they challenged in his grove. Along with his commanders, a triton paladin and warforged cleric. The start was rough, to say the least. TBC next session.

The party (far) prepares to cross the fog cloud to enter the Druid’s grove. The Druid, paladin, and cleric wait for them comfortably behind Spike Growth and 4 awakened trees.

Had to get some more pictures so we can set up the same way next session.

I gave my players a St. Jude prayer candle before the fight started…because I think I’m hilarious. “Hope for the hopeless.”
