My heart is broken. Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to my sweet Leia. 16 1/2 is not a bad run. Before she went to sleep, I said to her the same thing I'd say every time I'd leave the apartment, what I jokingly referred to as the "prayer to St. Leia." Bye sweetie. Please be good. I love you. Mwah.

Ok, attempt #2 was a mixed success - I didn’t mix the dough well enough so there were entirely uncooked patches of flour, but I was able to cut around a bunch of it and salvage about half the loaf in sections, and what did bake came out well, but again, no Hollywood Handshake. Plus I took notes.
