I made a saucy salmon&garlic&onion thing, with diced tomatoes and olive oil and mushrooms, to eat with pasta, for dinner. When we finally made it back home from the movie, I wasn’t really in the mood for pasta, but remembered we had some Texas toast in the freezer. Sortakinda bruschetta was yummy.

The first quilt top got finished last night. Working on the other side today. It will be a reversible quilt, making use of some planet/space themed fabric from a local fabric store. Going to give it to the youngest kiddo, whose autistic special interest is the solar theme.

We have several of there that I brought from home. They’re specifically made to separate the flaky fish meat, so they have no serrated edges and don’t actually cut all that well.

TIL that the Nanabozo of my childhood is actually a real being in Native American lore and it’s giving me all the feels.

One of the things I miss from back home is the beach. Today, I finally went to one here (Florida panhandle). The sand is whiter than I’m used to and the sea wasn’t as salty, which surprised me. But the familiar roar of the sea and the shimmery sunlight on the water brought back a lot of memories.
