RE4 (2005) Finally got around to playing this masterpiece. Holds up immaculately tbqh, I think I like it more than the remake. Really, what more can I say that hasn't been said about this game already? Your right hand comes off? 10/10

RE9 Requiem This is a "Best of" Resident Evil game. It combines the First Person survival horror style of RE7/RE8 + the over the shoulder remake style in a way that naturally compliment each other. It jumps the shark but it works because Grace grounds the game. Leon is the best RE girl btw. 9/10

RE8 Shadows Of Rose This expansion has a really neat concept but unfortunately it's unbelievably tedious and long overstays it welcome. It really hurts me that this DLC is such a massive downgrade from the base game its kind of absurd. 3/10

RE8 Village This game is batshit insane in a good way. If RE7 is a modern take on RE1 and RE2, RE8 is a modern take on RE4, going as far to almost 1:1 copy ideas and plot points. Plays ALOT better than RE7, while also having the best looking map design in the series. I love you Ethan Winters. 9/10

Resident Evil 7 I respect the absolutely fuck out of this game. Easily the game with the most risks taken in the series and at the time the franchise really needed this game. It is easily the scariest game in the franchise and I hope we get more like this game. Welcome to the family 9.5/10

RE4 Remake It's a tall order to remake a game as beloved as Resident Evil 4 but if it had to happen I'm glad it happened in this way. Probably the best possible remake we could have asked for and definitely the best of the Resident Evil remakes. I wish MGS Delta was like this. 10/10

RE3 remake More combat than RE2 remaks, it’s far less scary. Nemesis was cool! And I think Jill is cool… But seriously the original game had music playing during most segments just like RE2 and it would’ve been nice to have it back. It’s fun though! 7/10

RE2 remake Great survival horror game with a great vibe. Certain enemies become annoyances after awhile especially Mr. X. Game probably woulda benefited from fixed camera angles. Really disappointing that the A and B plots share so much though. Reslly brings it down by the end. 9/10

The Last Of Us Part 2 This game isn’t abysmal dogshit like I heard it was when it came out. Visceral combat, beautiful map design, a compelling narrative with some bold choices. The ending though I have mixed feelings on. Also I’ve deducted points from both games bc druckman icky 7.5/10

The Last Of Us AAA over the shoulder cinematic action game but i won’t hold that against it because this game is super solid. the relationship between Joel and Ellie is really well written, watching Joel go from monster to human again is quite amazing. 8/10 Now for the golf club in the room.

ELDEN RING I haven’t played an open world game that had me so thoroughly enthralled in exploring its world like this since Breath of the Wild. This game is one of the few games where it actually, genuinely not work as well if it wasn’t open world. This is the open world standard. Masterpiece! 10/10

The Boys S5 (Spoilers) TBH, a very underwhelming final season. It felt like a giant advertisement for their spinoff, everything major thing in the finale is sped through, and the big final fight with Homelander takes place in a single room. No scorched earth moment. Actors are great tho. 5/10

The Office (Full Series) idk what i can say about this that hasn’t already been said. tons of funny moments. it does have a gradual decline in quality after season 3 that it never quite recovers from then falls off a cliff after steve carrell exits. also the final season is fucking awful. 7/10

INVINCIBLE Season 4 Easily the best season yet. Animation (while still not great) is improving, the writing is solid as ever, and amazing performances from all the voice actors. Probably the best show on TV right now. 9.5/10

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty This is the best content Cyberpunk has to offer. Unlike the main story, there are true branching paths in this expansion, and both of them are so incredibly well written and performed its unreal. This is CDPR at its best. I am so excited for The Witcher 4. 10/10

Cyberpunk 2077 (Multipost Long) Comeback story of the decade. Absolutely love this game, amazing writing, characters, acting, music, world building, all CDPR staples. HOWEVER, while I think the story is amazing, its not as good as The Witcher 3 or it's DLC. Still good though, 8.5/10, however....

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings I have officially played more witcher games than most fans of the franchise. This game shows it age today but it’s still fun! The story is really engaging, the way it leads into The Witcher 3 is really cool. Unique story with two paths. 7/10

The Witcher 3 DLC CDPR are hands down the best in the industry when it comes to singleplayer expansions. So good I believe they are deserving of their own spot here. Absolutely amazing content and writing here. Please pick this game up, esp with the rumors of a new DLC coming soon! 10/10

TES3: Morrowind I really like this game. Game does not hold your hand nearly as much as Skyrim or Oblivion. Really fun discovering how the mechanics interact with each other. The combat system is weird but trivial to work around. Overall a dated but still worthwhile experience. 7.5/10. Use OpenMW!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Been 6 years since I played this last. Still holds up immaculately. Some of the best written characters in a game to date. Atmosphere is gloomy and miserable, soundtrack is phenomenal, pacing is great. Horse controls are fucking terrible though, hope TW4 addresses it. 9/10

TESV: Skyrim it took me like a decade to finally fully play through this game but now that I have I can say I really like this game. It's so immersive in ways that I haven't really experienced in awhile. I wish the main quest wasn't so underwhelming though. 9/10

Raiders of the Lost Ark I can see why this movie is a classic. Alot of references to this movie that I did not know were references until now. It's fun! Unfortunately, I think the one major female character in this movie is fucking terribly written so it really knocks the score for me. 7/10

Skinamarink I really, really wanted to like this movie. It sounds and looks so interesting, the cinematography is legitimately astounding. Unfortunately, its just kinda boring! Most of this movie is long shots of dark hallways, and occasionally a big spook. It just didnt land with me sadly. 4/10

Outlast 2 Not as good as the first one, but I don't dislike it as much as it seems other people do. Does some interesting things with its plots but the excessive gore becomes a bit laughable. 7/10

Outlast Played this one back in 2016 or so and remember really liking it. Replayed it for the first time since then and its still pretty good! Not as scary as it once was though, kinda relies on gore a bit too much. 8/10

New media thread!! Had one on Twitter but I'm not there anymore so. First up: The Shining. Don't know how I didn't watch this one sooner, but it's a classic for a reason. Crazy realizing how many shows and movies were inspired by this film.
