DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Welcome home and thank you for your service, HUA! 030
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 30/05/2025You say that like its a bad thing, that I do not desire to be manipulated to support violence against innocents, that I do not want to be enraged by a video designed to enrage one to support thier side. Have you never asked yourself why this war angers you, but all the others never deserve thought? 220
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 30/05/2025I am choosing not to be manipulated by video INTENDED to incite people. That is how prpaganda works. If you are so sold on Israels position why have you not flown there and joined the IDF? You are just incensed enough to spread their propaganda for them, to rail on social media in order to incite 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025Because that is their propaganda, like I said, it is all fucking propaganda in a war zone, each serving the ends of its side. I am not IN that conflict and see no valid reason to subject myself to their propagandas. I won't support either side. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025I have no need to watch the propaganda of either side, because in a war zone it is ALL propaganda designed to incite and evoke an emotional response to benefit one side or the other. The reality is only seen in hindsight because of the fog of war. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025I am not calling you emotional, it is not a put down, its an observation. This particular topic evokes emotions in you, am I wrong? 100

DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025Me too, Doetrich Bonehoffeer, philosopher, was executed in 43 for a failed plot to assassinate Hitler. He postualted "functional stupidity",not to be confused with supidity, as an explantion for why so many went along with the Riech. Neuroscience proved him right www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfek...youtube.comThe Terrifying Theory of Stupidity You Were Never Meant to Hear – Dietrich BonhoefferYouTube video by Philosophy Coded 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025— in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical — and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental." DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025"Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. . .Against stupidity we are defenseless. Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025See that's a tell. you say "They started this war" as i this issue began on Oct 7. Oct 7 was a terrorist response to some other issue, like a dominoes falling in a line all my life. You are emotionally invested in this Jo. Are you familiar with the term "Functional Stupidity"? 200
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 29/05/2025I do not believe disbarrment is affected by petitions. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025It seems to me you want to have your cake and eat it too. Baby murder on one side is terrorism, baby murder on the other side is "acceptable collateral dammage", I am saying baby murder is baby murder, if we can agree on that point then we can move on to "is it justified"? 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025then you are not acting in their best intrests. Soldiers do not get to walk around for the rest of thier life saying "I never killed anyone", they have to accept that they did, and the question then becomes "Was that just or moral? Did I save lives by doing so as I hoped?" in hindsight 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Nor am I asserting they should just give up, I am saying that is not the rational choice. It is irrational at its core. If you want less of your people to die you move them out of the danger zone, if you do not care about them, but about money, power and prestige, if your own ideology drives you 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Not what I said, but indicative of your own emotional stake in this issue, and I doubt it would be fine if Israel just left, but that is another issue entirely. Nor am I saying islamist ideologies are not a problem, I am saying both sides are killers, and need to accept reality. Don't whitewash it 200
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025What do we boycott to protest their boycott, NASCAR? 110
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025the killer to death. Which one is not a killer? 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I am going to try something different Jo, you do not seem to be grasping my point. Metaphor: A truly horriffic murderer, kidnaps, rapes, tortures, murders and then eats his victim in their own kitchen. Halfway through his repast a faily member comes home, sees what is going on and strangles 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I have said it before but this REEKS of scam. I am POTUS, I make annocements which tank the markets sending stock prices plumeting. Avg joe needs to sell to try and save their 401K, liquid billionaires can buy that up cheap. So each tarriff debaucle nets the top.001% more 010
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Oh, i am not expecting them to do any of that, niether of them. They are not thinking rationaly nor are they likely to. I do not expect either one to walk away, rather they will continue to teach the next gen to hate, and perpetuate an endless conflict whose only beneficiary is the arms industry. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Why does this bother you? I see both sides as sharing the blame for this mess which has been going on my entire life. The IRA took Patty Hearst hostage in the 70's to get Hearst newspapers to cover their plight, in 72 they took Isralies at the Olympics for the same reasons. Why does that bug you? 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Why? Because one is a formal, full time army and the other a terrorist militia? Israel would never allow Palestine to develop a full time, professional army, so they do not have much option if they want to fight against those who annex their lands and now occupy them, do they? 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Does not make me exempt. I spent ten years in uniform training to kill Soviets. I am not expemt from irrationality, if you bomb my family you are likely to find out how irrational I can be. I am not being bombed, both sides of that conflict are bombing each other, THAT IS ON THEM, their choices. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Privaleged? To not be in that war zone, hell yes. Will I move out of MAGA America, well first America is not MAGA, part of it is, and second, as I keep saying and your refuse to hear, at the moment it becomes violence against our loved ones we tend to become violent as well, it is irrational. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I agree, but Israel (Gov of not people of) want those "nutjobs" to annex that land. They took all that land in the 6 days war when I was a boy, under the auspices it was a better defensive front, so to protect themselvs they conquesred those lands. The Conquered have never surrendered. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025"Is it teaching boys to hate? Or is it teaching boys to protect themselves from a cancerous ideology" Gaza teaches the same thing. The cancerous ideology is Zionism, the evidence is the west bank where Israelis have taken land from palestinians for decades, and in the nasty treatment IDF gives 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025the rational thing is to get the fuck away from lands which have been in conflict all my life, away from the violence, missles, terrorist acts. I am not saying it is wrong to be irrational, it is human, but it is not rational. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025No I do not, kind of my point. IF I were 20 and a Gazan I would no doubt hunt Israelis, and if I were an Israeli and 20 I would be IDF or Mossad. No doubt, but that is not a rational position to take, it is irrational adjective 1. not logical or reasonable: "irrational feelings of hostility" 200
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I NEVER said both sides are the same. I said both sides are irrational and do similar nefarious things. Both have killled children for instance, Hamas has done beheadings and rapes, but Israel has been starving them which Hamas cannot do. Niether one is morally upright. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025"The world’s top war crimes court issued warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The court said they committed crimes against humanity for intentionally depriving Gazans of food and directing attacks against civilians." --PBS 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I do know. I do not need to watch another terrorist beheading, another rape, another murder of a child. I AM AWARE. It does not then justify murdering children in response ot starving the general population to expose the enemy. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I have not yet, did you bother to read the news I sent you about Israel teaching hate, just like Hamas? This did not start with Oct 7, that was a response to something before it, which was a response to something before it, and on and on and on. This is not new. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Like I said, YOU are emotional about this issue. Everything you say equates to this. This is normal IF you identify with the victims. Palestinians and others identify with the Gaza children. It is not for no reason, it is for a reason you do not acknowledge as valid. It is not on a whim. 100

DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025It has been here for decades. They blew up the towers twice. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025Iranians fund those same extremists, like most governments they manipulate the religious to their own ends. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025What am I wrong about? That both sides are murdering each other? That murdering each other is an irrational act? 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025It does at the outset, but the last two sentences can be misconstrued. Don't want the Doc taken out of context and quote mined. 010
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025for more funding so they can keep on murdering each other. When both sides believe the only real solution is the extermination of the other side, there is not much chance for a peaceful resolution. Both are wrong, the only question is of scale in each indiviual situation. 000
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025What is happening now is some new form of what has been happening there since before I was born. Both sides want us to empathize with them, to feel a part of their fight, because it does 2 things, it shores up their sense of rightness (even when killing innocents) and it allows them to exploit us 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025The reason you want me to watch uncensored footage, or to listen to Gazans who "escaped" and abandonded their faith/politics, is because you want me to join your angry persons club. If I watch I might empathize more, and be angry at what is happening, right? That makes you feel better about you 200
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I do grasp it, what you want is for me to empathize with the plight felt by the Israelis, and I do. I also empathize with the plight of the Gazans. Islamic Jihadism is not Nazism, they are both vile but not identical. Islamism can be totalitarian, so can Judaism, and both have been in the past. 200
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025You ought to think about rephrasing your post. Your last two sentences give the impression you think science does not support Vax for Pregnant women, as if you support RFK's position. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025to convince yourself you are not the bad guy, and both you and Drop Bear repeat the slogans, the talking points of both sides, because people on both sides do this to protect their own sense of self. It's a Tarrentino movie, there are no good guys, there might be a bad guy who is a little less bad. 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025and our families had been killed and terrorized by a relentless bombing then we would be very angry and want revenge. The same is true of Israelis suffering Hamas actions. This cycle has gone on longer than my life, by a lot. Again, I do not think you are trying to convince me, but you are trying 100
DoomerHermit @doomerhermit.bsky.social · 28/05/2025and when we are angry we are not rational, that is why people do dumb or even violent things when angry, then regret them later. The Gazans are not 100% Islamic Jihadists. Every attack which kills innocents recruits for Hamas, because they too are irrational. If we were raised there 200
