77. The Wild Robot They Woke-ified my Iron Giant (complementary).

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 28/09/2026

76. The Mitchells vs. the Machines Very good movie even if the style and the narrative has become pretty stock by this point.

75. The Last Voyage of the Demeter Pretty mediocre. Has an interesting setup but doesn't capitalise on it at all. Even when the characters figure out what a Vampire is they still wait until night to do things because we're just blindly following the steps of a slasher fic.

74. Resident Evil Holy shit this is amazing! Does a great job integrating elements of the games into film and coming up with great and memorable sequences and nailing a tone that fits the franchise.

73. Osmosis Jones (procrastinating edition) Pretty good film so long as you shield your eyes from the live action scenes.

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 20/09/2026

72. Spider-Man Brand New Day As someone who really likes the Home trilogy, this feels pretty inline with them, maybe a little weaker in some areas and stronger in others. But when it wants to hit, it hits.

120

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 20/09/2026

71. The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn The adventure movie that trumps all other adventure movies. With amazing action and choreography and a beautiful style that honours the source material.

120

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 20/09/2026

70. Galaxy Quest A great and sincere parody of Star Trek that beat the Orville to the punch by decades.

110

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 20/09/2026

69. The Hogfather A Death book that doesn't hit the highs of Reaper Man but feels a lot more consistent in quality, even if it could still benefit from some cuts. The Wizards subplot, as always, overstays its welcome and the Raven is the most tiresome Discworld character since Gaspode.

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 20/09/2026

68. Space Marine 2 This a great follow up to the original campaign that manages to retain the 7th gen scope (complimentary). It also comes with a decent amount of PvE content that puts me in the mind of Warframe and ME3 Multiplayer.

67. Maoyu Revisiting an old favourite. I still enjoyed it even if the broad strokes came off a bit more broader this time around. The characters aren't fleshed out but they play with their archetypes enough to still be an interesting watch.

66. Feet of Clay Another fun read from the night watch books, probably my favourite of the bunch so far. It has a great mystery, a wonderful cast and there's little to no downtime.

65. Resident Evil 1 Remake Finally got around to beating this. I did the Jill campaign and it was a novel experience. Has the best implementation of pre-rendered backgrounds and fixed cameras I've seen so far.

63. A series of Unfortunate Events (2004) Coming back to this classic after going over some of the books/show for a better perspective. While there is some pretty blatant compromises, it's such beautiful looking film with a distinct tone that leaves me wishing we got a trilogy out of this.

60. Fading Echo A neat Splatoon-Like that is unfortunately hampered by it's budget and lack of variety as it fails to evolve past the first two hours.

110

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 30/07/2026

59. The Odyssey It's called the Od-ys-sey because you Aught-to-see it. I'm only vaguely familiar with the source material so I'm curious to see how much of the thematic writing is Nolan's own spin or Homer's intention from the very start.

130

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 30/07/2026

58. Maskerade You can always expect a good time with a Witches book and this is no different. Featuring a Murder, a Mystery and some bitch named Christie. My only qualm is I wished Agnes had a much more active role in the story.

100

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 30/07/2026

57. Blue Beetle Forgot to post this last week which is a shame. I like the focus on the family and their struggles, and the moments it dips into Tokusatsu are stand out. But everything surrounding it is very by the numbers and comes off stale this late into the Super Hero boom.

100

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 22/07/2026

56. The Backrooms A really good horror flick that delivers on the concept of the Backrooms while also using it to deliver it's own themes and story.

110

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 22/07/2026

55. Love Death and Robots (Season 4) The weakest season so far. For a series that revolves around shorts, these ones felt a bit too... short. Alot of these end before things get going. For He Can Creep and 400 Boys were the only episodes that stood out from the rest.

110

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 22/07/2026

54. The Princess Bride Finally got around to a classic. It's so weird to label this as a parody, despite the abridged story and the comical elements, because the wit is so sincere that it still manages to suck you in.

53. Gravity Circuit I need someone to sit down with me and teach me to write nice things, because I had fun with this one but it's so much more easier to highlight the bad.

52. Interesting Times A very meh book with a lame payoff to teases made in the first two Discworld entries. The B-Plot with Cohen and Teach was significantly better than whatever was going on with Rincewind and Terry's criticisms(?) of revolutions.

I think all the problems with my life in the last 3 months can be traced back to the fact that my Lidl's stopped stocking Arizona Iced Tea and my Tesco's stopped stocking the Green Tea I was taking as an alternative.

100

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 04/07/2026

50. Warframe: Jade Shadows Constellations This is pretty inline with the previous Jade quest, but with more moving parts and characters thrown into the mix, it's easier to spot the gaps in the story that would normally be patched up with KIM conversations.

100

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 04/07/2026

49. Soul Music This is a sequel to Moving Pictures disguised as a sequel to Mort. Half of the book is dedicated to (rock band) parodies which I always found to be the weakest element of the series. The other is dedicated to Death and Susan which is much weaker and unfocused compared to Reaper Man.

100

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 04/07/2026

48. Akane Banashi (Season 1) This was a fun watch but I fear with what I've seen so far + all the glazing I've seen for the antagonist + this ultimately being a Shonen anime, that this story is going to come to a conclusion about art I might find detestable.

100

PencilManners/DoodleDud @doodledud.itch.io · 04/07/2026

47. Men At Arms A really good sequel to Guards Guards that tackles systems of power in the form of a Cuddy Cop comedy. Has a great pace to it and a lot less lulls compared to Pratchett's previous books. I continue to not care for Gaspode and wish he was kicked to the curb in favour of more Vimes.
