This particular one did make me feel incredibly estranged in college specifically. It's around that time that I fully came to terms with what it means to be ace, but among other guys this definitely cuts out a huge bonding dynamic that guys share when you're not into it

I went through my fair share of bullying up until high school when for some reason I was shown mercy. I also had a small amount of very close friends that are still with me to this day, which is something I never, ever take for granted. Without them, I don't know how I would have turned out.

I think the only reason why I dodged the worst of it was because my father wasn't really around much (quite literally, my parents were divorced) and my mother wasn't TOO pushy about gender norms. I've always been of the opinion that gender norms are utter bs and extremely crippling to boys
